openEducational show with robot protagonists
I cannot really remember where I used to watch this show, but it was an educational show where 3 robots lived up in a spaceship orbiting Earth. Every episode, they would send a spherical ship piloted by one of the robots and research about phenomena on Earth. They where by themselves small enough that they looked like toys and people wouldn't notice them, specially since they where just using footage. I cannot remember anything else besides 2 episodes:
- The spherical ship got hit by a thunder and got thrown out close to a garbage can. The other 2 robots on the spaceship would try to find a way to return him to he mothership, which was only through an emergency return lever that got turned heads down due to the crash. Here, they teach about circuits. - The robot inside the spherical ship noticed that it goes through a lot of turbulance when going too fast. They then research about aerodynamics, about how different forms "cut" air, and how turbulance is generated by small "tornadoes" on the tail of each form when seen through a wind tunnel. When they tried with the "airplane" shape, it was seen that it cut air perfectly.
Edited by RockcrimsonopenCommercial for a kids' DVD
I passed by a car with a kid watching a DVD in it yet again. Yet what they were watching confused me. The DVD was showing a preview which at some point had an entirely green screen with the text "Now on DVD" on it. What DVD was this ad for, and what DVDs contain that trailer?

Your weapon was some sort of projectile. I think it was a gun, but it could have been an bow and arrow, or something else.
One level (I think it was the first or second, but I'm not sure) you started on the ground and had to go up high the trees (on platforms, not climbing) and to the right to beat the level. You couldn't stay on the ground to beat the level, you had to go up the trees. I'm not sure what the enemies of the level are, they looked like some sort of bipedal green aliens, or dinosaurs, or monsters. They sort of of remind me of Yoshi, but they are quite different. I liked this level, but it was frustrating when you missed a jump because you would fall all the way down, and had to jump all the way back up to get back were you were before, which could take a while because the trees went up very high.
One boss was a large, possibly skeletal, thing setting in a chair or throne with detached hands. I think you had to shoot the hands first, then shoot the head to defeat it.
That's all I remember of this game. I tried looking in the Floating Limbs page and other trope pages, googling, and I've asked here about it before, but I still can't figure out what game this is.
openMurder button on ATM Live Action TV
This is totally unrelated to my other ATM question that I solved. I remember seeing a commercial for a drama series on TV where someone pressed a button with the word "MURDER" in red letters on an otherwise normal ATM. I might be able to Google this, but for now I want to see if any of you can find it.
openA certain Western movie. Film
A long time ago when I was in middle school, I saw this one Western movie (it was set in the early 20th century because there was a Ford Model T car in it), about an Indian boy who befriends a white man and his horse. What's the title of this movie?
Edited by AHI-3000openHotel series with kids solving mysteries
I think it was a british tv show about these teens who had something like a lab in a hotel, really high tech, Kind of an old show, used to watch it as a kid and they'd solve small crimes which occured around the hotel like something going missing, they'd take in suspects, and there'd be something like a cage to keep the suspects, it was a staged show to see if the kids would figure it out
Edited by LamentableKoalaopenSome kids put on a play Literature
There's a few kids living in this apartment block and they put on a play for an old neighbour. There's something important about a dolphin and the neighbour wears a hat which is somehow special or mentioned often. Read the book more than five years ago.
openspooky 2000's animated show intro on a horse carriage by a headless horseman . 3 characters
there was a show I either watched on YTV or Cartoon Network in the early to mid 2000s, all i remember was a piece of the intro where either 3 (2 boys 1 girl) or 2 characters (1 boy 1 girl) in a horse carriage but i think the carriage was carried by a headless horsemen. It was these 2-3 characters entering a new town or something along those lines. The girl was taller probably older and spoke in a monotone voice. It was animated in a normal? way. it wasn't animated like Reboot..
openBag over parking meter
I remember a TV series where the intro showed the main character sliping an 'out of service' bag over a parking meter at a space he had just parked in. Cannot recall the series. Likely 70s/80s. Can anyone offer a little help?
openLooking for Name of Cartoon Western Animation
From what I remember it was a British cartoon around the late 90s/early 2000s (pretty sure it used Squiggle Vision). It was a comedy about cliche witches in the modern world. The only episode plot I can properly recollect is where one of them curses a woman into a turkey for threatening to kill them with stakes. If I remember correctly the titles involved some sort of roller coaster sequence. Ring a bell with anyone?
openscene from a movie with teenage girls in a bathroom sharing tampons Film
this scene happens within probably the first 20 minutes of the movie. a group of teenage girls are in a bathroom and they are sharing tampons. I think a voiceover might say that they're all on the same cycle. the camera pans on the bottom of the stalls and shows the girls passing a box of tampons to each other from under the stalls. the movie is definitely from the 2000s; I stopped watching it after that scene because I thought I was too young for it and it made me uncomfortable at the time. any ideas?
openSci-fi detective cartoon, somewhat adult Western Animation
I remember seeing this show a few years ago on Cartoon network (?). I only remember two episodes, but they involved what I believe was a detective in both of them.
One involved him chasing after some guy's hands that ran away, with one of the hands ending up turned into ground meat due to the chase, with the other hand trying to commit suicide after the cliche "seeing them in the clouds/sky" scene before being grabbed by the detective and being returned to the owner.
The other episode involved the detective finding and returning a naked blonde woman to who I assume is her father. The only parts i remember of this episode was the detective transporting the woman on some floating platform, and of her messing with the badge he pins on her. I also believe that she died at the end, with the father crying over her corpse after putting a earring back on one of her ears.
Edited by arde645openYoung Adult Book about 2 young brothers surviving the Holocaust in Poland Literature
I've been bugged by the inability to remember the title of a book that I read back in Middle school in 2005. Among the details I can remember about it are the following: Two Jewish children (who are brothers as mentioned earlier) who are living in Poland during World War II, of which the younger has blonde hair which makes the older one (who is the protagonist) envious because he "looks German" and thus isn't in as much fear of being spotted by the Nazis. The protagonist is living with a Polish family named the Rosens (or some variation of that name such as Rosenberg, Rosenthal, etc. again I can't remember all the details accurately) who are providing refuge for him from the Nazis. At the beginning, there is a celebration of Passover (in the present day) in which at one point it is mentioned something along the lines that "the Holocaust was more recent and just as true" in which the protagonist (who is a grown man at this point) then goes on to recount the main narrative in an extended flashback. Near the end of it, the uprising in Warsaw against German occupation happens. The protagonist and Rosens also meet a Russian soldier who reveals that he is also Jewish. The book also featured the Rosens in a photo dated 1992 after the conclusion of the novel.
openKids Show - Brother and Sister with crazy fake red wigs - watched on VHS Live Action TV
I know that these two would sing songs every once in a while and the only episode I had seen had a song about taking a bath and scrubbing with a bunch of stick figure drawings shown taking a bath. The two characters were definitely an adult man and woman and that they were acting more like kids.
openTV series (maybe film)
I was wondering if anyone had any idea what this might be based off the only scene I can remember. I think it is an American TV series, probably watched it on Netflix (though it could be a film). The only scene I can remember is of a road at night and there is a car parked up with a group of people in it who are all sort of suspended in time if you will. The car is on the wrong side of a barrier at the end of the road but it hasn't been smashed and there is no other way for it to have got there. A sherif (I think) find the car and goes to ring it in but the car disappears with no trace.
That's all I can remember, not sure how accurately I am remembering either!
I think it's a show/film about there being a rip in time or something Sci-fi-y like that.
Thanks!
openDog Game Videogame
I recently remembered a game I played as a kid and am now trying to recall the name! It was a snes game, I believe, and all I can remember is you played as (or took care of) a golden retriever dog. I know that you could go down to a beach and dig up bones(?). It might have had day/night cycles as well because I remember the beach being dark as if it were nighttime. Also, it was before Nintendogs.
Edited by santablitzleopenWhat's this show again? Anime
the main character uses a katana and used to fight in the Japanese military and helps out a dojo and he was something like a man killer or slayer
openEarly 2000's Possibly 1990's Western Animation
It's been driving me mad for years but I remember a VHS tape at my Nana's house that had two girls on the front, one was blue or purple and the other was pink. The style was similar to that of Rainbow Brite but I've seen all those movies and none are what i'm thinking of. They were on a stairwell with either a candle in one of their hands or a torch on the wall, they could have been conjoined or just back to back but they looked either like twins or just sister's. One had a moon hairpin and the other had either a star or a sun, It's not Johnny Test's sisters because they weren't around at that time period, especially not on VHS.I was really little when I saw the cover but I'd love to know what it was, if anyone has a clue i'd love to hear it, i'm out of idea's.
Anyone know the song used in this vine?
