Got a short video showcasing the Acidic Glavenus:
Apologies for the double-post, but we have the turf war between Fulgur Anjanath and Tigrex:
Fulgur Anjanath did better than I expected. Wonder if it's because it's a subspecies...
To some extent I'd think so, Tigrex is weak to the Thunder element after all.
Speaking of, Fulgur's the first Thunder-element Brute Wyvern in the series. Right? I haven't played World before but Anjanath's always irked me for being kind of boring conceptually, so I'm really happy about Fulgur making good use of its cousin's design and turning it into something that stands out.

🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaI don't know if elemental weaknesses factor much during turf wars. Deviljho is weak to Thunder as well, but that doesn't stop it from using poor Tobi-Kadachi like a meat tenderizer.
Or maybe that's just Deviljho being Deviljho.
We'll probably have to wait and see the numbers before knowing how well each monster fared. For all we know, maybe Tigrex is the only one dealing damage, kind of like how Legiana and Rathalos do no damage to Deviljho despite clawing it in the face.

deviljho also has dragonblight so...
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"Speaking of, I just killed my first one in Generations Ultimate.
He is a lot less terrifying when you're not preoccupied with something else. Since I usually play SnS I was worried his tail would be hard to reach, but he trips easy so it wasn't an issue at all.

I've been saying it for months, but the time is almost here... I should really get back into this game.
I'm off next week, maybe I'll find time.
Rounding up the subspecies for today, Nightshade Paolumu arrives on the night sky, spreading both poison and sleep across the battlefield. Time to grind up some energy drinks...
So they brought Deadly Poison back and added another Sleep monster with Malfestio's cloud gimmick...
Kulu Ya-Ku subspecies incoming that can inflict Ossified?
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaFinally finished with the mainline village quests. That final batch of monsters... they're all pretty beefy! Makes sense since they're all returning final boss monsters though (with two of them originally designed as Hub final bosses, even.)
I wanna single Alatreon out though because that thing eats Flash Bombs quick and I, the lowly SnS player, have to then spend minutes waiting for it to stop dicking around in the sky. Minutes!
Alatreon's only able to take flight in its ice/thunder stance, right? I know it can use both of its stances on the ground but I don't remember it ever taking flight for extended periods of time during its dragon/fire stance.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaCan I just mention how massive the meals are in every Monster Hunter game? Hell, the pre-hunt syeaks arevas big as your arm.
Not to mention the platters that could feed 3-4 people and the hunter wolfs it all down without getting sick.
how many calories do you think it takes to swing a greatsword

"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterI am officially playing World again, getting warmed up (heh) for Iceborne.
Welcome back~
Been playing with my cousin, now own almost every charge blade and hammer in existence. Going to need to go through kulve taroth tho
Yeah, I may have to rinse Kulve Taroth while she's here, try and get some of those fancy weapons. I got some last night that didn't seem great at a glance, but it was 1am and I couldn't be bothered looking closely.
I also got a Hero's Streamstone - Axe from tempered Deviljho (for some reason I decided that should be the first thing I do upon returning to the game), which was nice, as a charge blade user.
New trailer.
Aw, no Brachydios theme song in that trailer?
Barioth vs. Legiana looks pretty cool. I'm also looking forward to that new monster at the end.
Developer's Diary is here, in case you want to know more about what was shown in that latest trailer. And yes, this one does have the Brachydios theme:
Also, enjoy the Azure Rathalos vs. Brachydios turf war:

So that is actually a new monster? I thought it might be, but my knowledge of other Monster Hunter games isn't sufficient enough to be sure.
I think it is?
I notice a lot more Turf War trades the older the game gets, as opposed to all the one-sided ones from vanilla World. I guess they don't want their mascot to look weak.
Which monster are you referring to?
If you're talking about the Brachydios, then no, it's not a new monster. It's been around since Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate.
If you're talking about the Namielle, then yes, it's a new monster.
