Objection! She gives the weed to a trusted professor, who knows the students well, and tells the professor to give it to those who need it most. We have no idea how common weed is, so she's clearly just being practical!

Also, literally everyone gives free fish/bait/vegetables/other crap to Byleth whenever By does them a favor. It's actually kind of weird, and gets lampshaded by Cyril. It is not a point in Edelgard's favor!

Flayn can fish by herself. In this merit based system; you have to fish for fish yourself. A fair system.

@jackwalker: I know this, which is why I press on.

I reached my breaking point and began to mid battle save abuse to get past Gomer and Hyman. I cannot be fucked to deal with these maps again, only to fall to these jacked freak bandits. I have better things to do and a better part of the game to play.

Now I'm at chapter 4, which I think is where I get the riders banes? I see that it's the first map with forges and reclassing, which will be fun af to play with.

@kuroi: You can't deny that dodge tanking is a lot easier to get away with in Gba though (even if it is not the most guaranteed reliable strat). Most people, myself included, aren't ironmanning so they are more willing to do ballsy unsafe plays, which have a not insignificant chance of paying off.

I do like the DS games' nerf to that strat. Less reliable avoid for both sides means taking initiative on player phase. You need to make the most of your turn and kill as many people within your range as you can, before they retaliate. That kind of proactive gameplay is what I appreciate FE 6 for (for the most part lol. Rutger can get away with stupid things on an avoid tile)

Hyman is a really tough one, yeah. Many have faced him with their lances, yet none have broken him or made him bleed.

Okay, there's one thing gameplay-wise in Three Houses that's been bugging me. Can you, uh, not pop up information on enemy skills on-map? Did the devs expect you to memorize the skill icon and what it does?

You can't?

I've tried pressing X to show info and trying to scroll over to enemy skill icons, but it doesn't seem to work. Cursors stays on info on the right side of the screen.

Eh, a fair bit easier, but people tend to greatly overestimate how much a unit can get away with, which is the biggest problem (I did, after all, set up a Lancereaver Swordmaster for 0% hit rates all around for the Wyvern swarms in my last BB run). Even discounting ironmanning, "ballsy, unsafe plays" are is just a synonym phrase for "playing badly" because while there is a significant chance of pay-off, there's also a significant chance of face planting. Going back to the aforementioned streamers, this often results in things like raging and screaming at the game, and having a Lord get Berserked and then ganked 2 hours into Cog of Destiny. Followed by more raging and screaming. Honestly, Awkward Zombie explains it the best. Seriously, people are free to make bad plays if they really want, but if they're then going to then turn around and rage and blame the game/RNG, then they just look stupid and entitled.

x3 Are you just talking about when it has the mini icons when you hover over an enemy. Because yeah, as far as I'm aware, there's no way to pop up descriptions there. You have to go into their status screen and tool tip over to their skill bar.

@kuroi: You're totally right. I guess to phrase my point better, Shadow Dragon 100 percent shutting down a bad and reckless playstyle with higher hitrates and high damage for BOTH sides of the army is cool.

Im having fun with shadow dragon now but I overspent on weapons I don't need. Three steel axes combined probably wouldn't be nearly as good as a forged hammer but I will lie in the bed I made for myself.

Shadow Dragon is all about super effective weapons, and bosses are either a pushover or a massive headache.

It's the leadup to the ball and all the Ashen Wolves have come topside. I love how Balthus is all "White Heron Cup? I'm definitely the wrong person to represent our class. Oh, you don't want me to compete? That's the right decision. Just remember that I'm the one who told you that I shouldn't enter."

Weird how Yurikins doesn't have a support with Ashe, since according to Cindered Shadows they know each other already.
