I always interpreted Validar as being being disappointed that he wasn't good enough to become one with Grima, so he lives vicariously through Robin to achieve his dream of becoming a god. I admit this might be me reading too much into things, though, but it is rooted in Validar's dialogue throughout the game.

The Serenes Forest article on the Gamespot video has a Mess Hall screenshot with a boy character who looks even younger than "youngest student Lysithea." Some people are wondering if he's not actually a student as a result and, if so, just what role he plays in the monastery.

Easy, boring theory: probably just one of the kids of one of the teachers who helps out around the place.

People have speculated that he's Claude's younger brother, since he kinda looks like a younger version of Claude.

Do we know if Three Houses is fully voice acted like Echoes or partially voice acted like Awakening and Fates?

From what has been shown so far, seems like it's fully voiced.

And there seems to be more animated sections.

BTW, here's comparison for female◊ and male◊ available classes. There seems to be four tiers of classes (or three tiers and then a special tier).

It is a pretty blatant hole on the UI. Perhaps that means some advanced classes are not available for everyone?

Or perhaps pegasus grows into wyvern?

But dudes can ride wyverns and wyvern riders usually have a very different stat block from Pegasus knights

I also noticed that Linhardt had a "dismount" option at around 15:10. Has that ever been a thing?

Also during the paraloge select screen you see a mission involving Sothis which lists her as a mandatory unit, so she is a partymember.

If I remember correctly, Dismounting is a mechanic in Thracia 776.

And somewhat of a scrappy one at that, as in that game... Mounted units for whatever reason. Are not able to be deployed in-doors.

Pegasus Knights promoted into Dracoknights in the Archanea games, so pegs promoting to dragons in TH wouldn’t be entirely out of left field, but...wow, what an unexpected throwback if that’s the case. Falcon Knights were kinda retconned in with a downloadable item in the remakes, but that went away once the service went down.

I prefer Falcon Knights myself, because it generally keeps the Fragile Speedster aspect over the Mighty Glacier aspect of Dracoknights. Splitting the classes was good for diversity imo.

It was a solid mechanic for trying to balance horses, but if horses can be used indoors in this game like it seems they can be, I'm not entirely sure what that leads to. Maybe just to allow you to avoid getting slaughtered if you decided to make a team of fliers and a bow heavy level happens or something.

As a note since we are talking about horses, it might be that the whole "lances are strong against cavalry" might be incorrect. It might be more that lances teaches you an Art that is effective against cavalry foes.

Mounted units could be deployed indoors in both Mystery of the Emblem and Thracia 776. However almost all of them switched to swords, which got annoying in Thracia 776 which used the modern day weapon rank system.

The article where that info came from specifically compared lances to bows being effective against fliers, and then later talked about weapon skills granting bonuses against certain things (ie: the Axebreaker combat art) as if that were a separate thing entirely.

I'm not saying it's impossible, but that would certainly a bizarre way to present that information. Plus, without the weapon triangle the weapons would need some way to innately distinguish them, and currently lances are just the average between axes and swords, in terms of Might and Accuracy etc.

Plus, if cavalry can choose to dismount at any time that's an easy way to dodge the weakness.

Apparently there are no male same-sex romance options among Blue Lions.◊ At least the ones we know of.

I believe the only male same-sex option the leak mentioned was Lynhart, who is the sole remaining Black Eagle to receive a profile.

And it’s not like the leak listed all of them - some are apparently spoilers.

Soo... I was watching a bit of gameplay of Three Houses from the Treehouse event.

And apparently, Sothis just kinda hangs around in Byleth's room.

I dunno if she is like, Invisible To Normals or something. But it would be funny if a student like, walks into the room without asking then being like... "Ummm, teach. What is this girl with pointy ears doing here?"
