Komachi being down to break into Kasen's house was pretty funny. They way her distance manipulation powers was showcased was also pretty cool.

Sanae's gonna have some 'splainin' to do.

Definitely looks like we're nearing the end of the manga.

Really interesting chapter. Also nice that we finally get to see some of the characters powers being properly displayed how they work.

The plot thickens. Also, Komachi is awesome.

Dat Cover Art Very intense. Tenshi's Lightsaber looks amazing.

...ok, in the above paragraph, with how awesome the lightsaber looked, I almost wrote "but hey, what are the chances it's actually gonna get used in the chapter? It's just for the cover!"...well, snap. Dat page with Tenshi usin' her Lightsaber might seriously be the most Badass-Lookin' Touhou Manga Page I've genuinely ever seen O_O (...and it amounted to nothing Haha.)

...now I wanna see Tenshi fight Katana Moonsister. No matter who loses, the rest of the world wins.

This building of suspense and tension is super good! These clawmarks in the Shrine... And Komachi also gets a super Badass Moment! Wow. Touhou Characters usin' their powers in cool ways, one of my favorite things.

"Speaking of Oni, Kasen is actually..." Oh no! What a shame she got cut off there! Whatever could she have meant!!?? What a mystery.

...Wow, that ending actually got me. Genuine cliffhanger. A Three-parter! Has that happened before in Touhou Manga?

Finale of FS was three parts, I think. Or even four.

It was six parts, iirc. But it was divided into three 2 chapter mini-arcs, at least by the chapter titles.

Is it ever discussed in any official material how youkai immunity to physical attacks work? Like, if one got stabbed in the arm with a regular kitchen knife, would it not pierce the skin at all, would it pierce the skin but not hurt, or would it pierce the skin and sting a little, but the wound heal in minute, if not seconds?

They regenerate, pretty sure.

But, like, do they feel pain, though, even if minimal compared to what a human would feel? Or is that never specified?

Considering they (as well as human playable characters) get all stabbed up and sliced by swords and knives, beat up by fists, feet and goshintai among other things in the fighting games it's safe to say they feel similarly to humans but unlike the humans they heal up pretty quickly like.

Either that or the hitbox joke is disturbingly real in Gensokyo.

Wooow, waitaminute...I'm sadly really strapped for time right now, so I could only quickly browse through it...but is that what I think it is?

One of my personal favorite Touhou Videos ever made was a Boss Rush fangame where you encountered every named Touhou character in a row (even civilian ones who had never been a boss before), and each time, their picture would flash across the screen, their Theme would be triumphantly playing and they would have one nonspell attack and one Spellcard (each carefully crafted to represent their character and typical attack style). Also, they were arranged from "weakest" to "strongest" (and yes, lots of debate potential there). As a relative novice to Touhou at the time, seein' this video again and again and again was a godsend to me, for learnin' the characters, their musics and what they were all about! Man, I loved that video so much!

...if this is anything like that, or, even better, an updated version with all the new chars AND in High Definition (as you can see, the old video had max 360p, which was painful), then, holy crap, will I love it. It's like four times as long!! Need to find time to check it out soon... anyway, thanks for linkin', in advance!

Finally got to the video (on Kogasa atm, still miffed how low she is in the power rankings again >:( ), and it REALLY is everything I could have dreamed of! Exactly as hoped! It's just like the old one, but

-four times longer (is it four times as many characters!? The spells seem just as long as in the previous video...) (EDIT: In hindsight, the spells were slightly longer, but yeah, sooo many new chars O_O, even considering the several chars that are missing from the old video!! like all the "civilians" and the SSIB chars)

-in glorious HD!

-with English Spellcard translations, that's great!

-music super!

-and the char art is super good too!

Annoying: bit of lag, or stuttering, regularly... not sure where from.

Here's my first personal highlight: Kyoukers' Annoying Infinite Sutra.

Ooh! Another thing they improved, had forgotten about that. The old video had several normally Solo Bosses as Dual Bosses, a pity, because you didn't get to see them be cool individually. I remember Suwako & Kanako especially. In this, I've now so far seen Yoshika, then Seiga, and it's so much better! (EDIT: oh man Chen and Ran are together again... disappointing)

Also new: there's some surprise Survival Spellcards now! Seen two so far, both excellent.

I can't remember if there were any good ol' Power Level Discussions in the thread about the first video, but it was kinda ok in its sequence of chars mostly. But this here... wow, can't keep quiet about this blunder: why is RAIKO with the Level Fours!? O_O

Kaguya has another silly NEET-related Spell Card, but this time, she at least attacks you (in contrast to...)

The Sprites for Kasen, Kokoro and Sumi (oh, and the Scam Sisters) are sooo good (Speakin' of Sumi, wow, gotta link this).

Hecatia's Spell Card is my favorite in the entire video If you wanna spoil yourself, here ya go.

Ahh, sorry. I keep doing that. Fixed. Unfortunately though there are lots of team boss fights in there, as you mentioned.

Episode 11 is out, though untranslated ATM.

And the trailer for Episode 12, which appears to be adapting Imperishable Night's Extra stage.
