Absent people

This is a thread for people who will not be or have not been on the site for a while, whether due to real life or to resist an internet addiction, the latter of which is encouraged within reason. Also, talk about the benefits/whatever of taking a day or a weekend off, or things to do when not online. TV Tropes ruining your life is nothing to be proud of.

Generally, expect the following from this thread:

People announcing their departure or return.
Moderators announcing a significant forum ban — not trolls or vandals, but someone people will notice and miss.
Inquiries about an absent troper.
Responses to inquiries about an absent troper.

Not that I'm going anywhere, but this is a thread for people who will not be on the forums for a while, whether due to real life or to resist an internet addiction, the latter of which is encouraged within reason. Big text can't be done any more. It's stiff visible in the Forum Rules thread in FAQ. The markup was [+ +], with up to three +s.

Small text is [- -], with infinitely many -s.

Green text is [[green:text]], giving text, red text is [[red:text]], and so on. Evil text is the same thing with [[evil:text]]. Just for the Rule of Cool.

Quoting right by 300 pixels. The text is also made smaller, as you can see.

I don't think there's a markup for flipped text, though you can shift text right. Use [[quoteright:PIXELS:stuff like an image/caption or whatever you want to say]], or [[rtl:stuff]] if you want to go more insane.

This is right-to-left, which invariably screws with Latin punctuation.

Is "bloods text" the evil text?

No idea what "crips text" is. Might you mean small caps, to take a wild guess? That's [[AC:Small Caps]] to give Small Caps.

Oh, there's a button called "show markup help" in the top left of the screen when you're posting. That shows you how to do a bunch of stuff.

It's an awesome song, so hell yeah.

And I've looked at it before, but I've never seen anything about that stuff.

I was joking with "tall", "bloods", and "crips". The latter two are the two most well known gangs in the U.S. For your edification.

I was beginning to wonder if you were being silly! I, however, am outside the US. Yay! (Well, I don't want to live there, but it's okay to visit relatives once in a while. No offence to you Americans who actually reside in your country.
