- Moderators announcing a significant forum ban — not trolls or vandals, but someone people will notice and miss.

- Responses to inquiries about an absent troper.

@Fighteer: I noticed the new PM rule. "Don't release the contents of a PM without permission to a third party."
Anyone get banned because of that? Note I'm not asking who, just if it was essentially put up to prevent more issues of that.

Nah Marines do their training programs differently. 13 weeks of Marine boot camp at Sandiego or Paris Island. Then you do your combat school.
If your infantry you got to the ITB Infantry Training Battalions for a month of basic infantry training. If you are not infantry or combat arms MOS you go to MCT Marine Combat Training. A condensed watered/down form of training. Or at least that was the way it used to be.
I hear it has since changed and they just do a full month of Infantry training. After that you go to your job school for however long that may be.

@Dark: We don't plan to ban anyone retroactively, however it has always been the case that using the content of PM's to export drama is subject to disciplinary action. I just felt that it needed codifying in the rules lest we be accused of inconsistency.

He has indeed. He made it through boot but will soon be going into AIT. He may be out of touch to varying degrees or entirely until he finishes.
