@Servbot, I don't know when the party took place but knowing Remilia, she had Sakuya go and smack up whichever one wasn't in season to get them to attend. Hell, she sent invitations to Eientei. I can't decide if that's over-confidence, stupidity, charisma, or some mixture of the three.

Actually, I'm surprised at the turn-out she managed to get. How she got Medicine to come, for example, is a mystery. Probably one for the ages.

The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!

Throughout the entirety of Touhou canon the only words Lily ever says are "Let me go!" That's kind of sad. Maybe she'll get some dialogue in Fairy Wars.

My thought of Lily Black is that she is related to Yamaxanadu, in that she only shows up in her stage and may be associated with spider lilies, since white tends to be associated with purity and fertility while black is associated with death and the burden of sin.

The God of Summer! It was a bold move to assign such an important position to a male character, but ZUN has masterfully done the trick!

Not much is known about this character, but I'm sure speculation will run high very soon!

Voting for Sanae to finish off the Mountain of Faith crew.

In other news I still haven't had a lot of time to work on the Aki sisters thing and given that I don't know much about color theory or about GIMP and my mouse sucks, this is gonna take a while.

As it is now, does it look too pale? When I was working on it on the big computer, the colors looked pretty strong, but when I transferred it to my laptop to upload it, it looks a lot paler... I guess I might have to adjust my monitor if the difference is that strong. But first I have to be sure which version is actually, uh, correct.

Anyway, I'm down with Sanae.

I just realized something...

Did we ever discuss Momiji? She's not in the list of remaining characters nor is she in the list of links. Closest I can find was people talking about her on the side during the discussions on Aya and Hatate.

Ah, gee, poor Momiji. I wasn't feeling up to it at the time, and I was still in that phase where I thought I'd actually only do the launcher as a rough draft of a final profile, so I thought I'd make it up to Momiji by making her finished profile first, but then I just abandoned the idea...

So her discussion starts here-ish.

The problem with Momiji is that in canon shes only played cameos and most of the information is "Aya said Hatate said"

And most of the fanon interpretations are generally the same thing, or at least the same general idea.

So, what now. Do we deem the previous Momiji discussion (what little there was of it) unsatisfactory and discuss her after Sanae, or do we just give her an early call in round two?

So, I don't really have anything to contribute, but I'd like to thank everyone that's contributed to this thread. I'm kinda new to the whole Touhou thing, and, to be honest, I don't really care to play the actual games, since danmaku isn't really my kind of thing. However, I do like the designs of most of the characters, to the point that I've spent the last ...er...five days doing little else but look through safebooru galleries of various characters.  ^*

However, I only have a vague idea of these characters as actual characters. What I've read thus far from this thread has helped me fill in these vague skeletons I have to make them more like actual characters.

Plus, it's just been interesting to read some of the thoughts and stuff.

Also, Stark, I probably wasn't hit as hard since I haven't shipped them as long, but I was pretty disappointed to see the new take on the relationship between Aya and Momiji, too.

Jesus, this thread moves fast.....I would've loved to contribute to some of the character discussions, but alas.

You guys are awesome though. To think that one small doujinsoft game could sprout this much.....stuff is amazing.

On the other hand, [[strike here's the entire reason I made this post]] I have finally written a chapter of Touhou fanfic. Well, I actually wrote it about a month ago, but I got unfairly banned MoTK, which put a huge damper on my mood.

Anyway, now some of those annoying bastards**coughHylarncough** will.....I have no way to wrap that one up...so just witness the fail of Even a Chance Meeting for yourselves.

There is at least one troper who's been trying to write fanfics for the series and has been seriously frustrating himself with the inability to do so because he really wants to show off how he sees the characters and series to see what others think but grumble grumble mumble mutter
