Still though, I would like to see more discussion on the idea of using the cat one.

As far as I can see, (because it was a Google Image search) the image was a Demotivator, which is taboo 'round these parts for page images.

We could always crop the image part of the demotivator. o.o

The regular Shadow heartless are just plain adorable. But the musical hat and mushroom ones can work too.

Remember - we need a picture showing a lot of them. A big part of the trope is that you're going to have a whole tide of these guys.

EDIT: [3]◊ [4]◊ [5]◊ [6]◊ here are a few from the Disgaea anime (I really like the last one for this because one there are alot of them and The Pointer Finger makes it really look like he is in control of the little guys and the eyes point to the fact that he is a bad guy).

Raso's #6 looks pretty good to me. I'm not quite getting the adorableness of the Shadow guys from the stills, save for some of the "solo" shots. Though Raso's 2nd picture is close.

I like the 2nd one Raso put forward, if only because even the leader looks adorable-yet-demonic.

That said, the 4th one does make pretty clear that she is commanding those minions, that might be a good idea...

Bigger?

The groups shot really does show how cute they are. It's like a playground for Dementor children.

It's not bad, but it does need to be bigger.

Here is the 4th disgaea pic with Flonne cut out (sucks to lose the fact that she has wings but meh) IMO this image looks perfect.

My complaint with most of these is that you really cant see their "leader" which is really needed for this trope IMO or else they can be just Adorable Evil and no one's Minion.

Also, demotivators aren't allowed.

Not a fan of the ugly creepy zombie penguins. They don't really look like minions and they're just kind of staring there glassy eyed.
