Scants seconds after Kimimaro and his passenger had touched down, Ravage managed to pry the bus' doors open. The Predacon then stepped back, allowing Dr. Langley to step inside first as he drew his blaster and swept the transportation hub with his crimson optics, letting no detail slip past his keen gaze; he knew, all too well, that it would be at this critical juncture—confined to one place until the scientist could get the vehicle online and under her control—that they would be most vulnerable. Were he the enemy, he would commit his forces to striking now—assuming, of course, that their nebulous foes even had an understanding of military tactics.

Onboard the spinnerbus, Dr. Langley knelt down in front of the driver's seat and swiftly removed a small panel from beneath the dashboard. The hexagonal pupil of her artificial left eye dilated widely to allow more light in, and without pausing to look for tools or a lightsource she reached into the vehicle's innards and began to tamper with the wiring.

Rey screamed, clamping his hands over his ears, shaking his head furiously. "ANGIE! No! No no no no!" Rey abruptly braced himself against Jack's back and leapt off, likely surprising the samurai with the strength he pulled the feat off with, and started to try going back. "I'm coming, Angie, please, hang on, I'm coming, bebe, I'm coming!"

A dry, rattling hiss drew Ravage's aim and attention over to the shadows at the far end of the transport hub. Something—or rather, several somethings—was moving within the confines of the dark, lurking at the edge of the light as if hesitating on whether or not to approach and enter the hub's field of radiance.

"Doctor, we may be short on time," Ravage called over his shoulder, training the red targeting laser on one of the lurking shapes. "Progress?"

"I need at least another minute," Dr. Langley replied, grimacing as two wires sparked violently near her face. "Try to hold them off as long as you can."

Rey grunted, grabbing at his head for an entirely different reason this time, clenching up his muscles a moment, then panting softly, his voice obviously strained with some effort, still seeming nearly on the edge of a complete panic as the voice called again. "Okay then...okay...Doctor...I need you to help me...help me get to the transport...if I try to get away again or slow you down too much, just...let me go, okay?" He staggered back to his feet, muttering slightly as he turned back. "Saren, keep yelling at me...insult me, do something, give me somewhere else to focus, please..."
