A Game of Gods: A Multiversal Challenge

-Eddie watched the battle from the sidelines with an almost bored expression on his face-

"I'm getting kinda sick of fighting..." he said to no-one in particular; "I hope the next challenge has a bit more variety."

Rey stood next to Eddie, one hand still protecting the sword by his side as he watched. "I...when I said I wanted training, I just meant learning how to shoot a gun without it hitting me in the face..."

The dragon eyed Vezon evilly, then whipped its head about and up. This unwound the chain and sent the Skakdi high into the air, in a course that would bring him almost straight down. The wyrm opened its jaws wide, waiting for him to fall into the cavernous depths of its sharklike maw...

Clubs Deuce saw his chance and threw some more C4 at the wrym.

There is a low rumbling...

The Doctor yawns. "Dear Rasillion is this getting boring. DO SOMETHING!"

"As you wish."

The seats in the arena suddenly sprang up, catapulting all who had been sitting out the fight into the ring to land at the dragon's feet. The beast looked down at them, blinking, and Vezon bounced harmlessly off the top of its head.

Now that it was more or less still, Ravage took aim at one of its eyes and fired. The organ ruptured in a stream of blue-grey ichor as the Predacon's blast struck it, and its owner howled in pain and rage.

The Doctor sighs and runs. "NOT LIKE THAT! What the heck Dis!? I'm a pacifist most of the time!"

"Then perhaps you should have kept your comments to yourself, Doctor; I'm sure those who were battling the wyrm before you spoke up did not find it 'boring'."

"Ah dangit!"

Spriggan went to take aim with the EOtech sight mounted on the G36K, shooting the dragon at its eyes via single shot mode.

"Anyone who's not fighting, get to cover!"

Vezon would be lying there for a while.

Raz backpedled away from the Wyrm, hucking a confusion grenade as he went.

The dragon roared as Spriggan's shots put out another of its eyes, and a transparent nictating membrane slid down to cover the remaining four. It twitched when Raz's confusion grenade struck it right on the noggin and whirled around, its head darting back and forth as though looking for something.

Raz fired three psiblasts, then used pyrokinesis. Not that he thought it would work, but it was worth a shot.

Clubs Deuce ran toward the wyrm and swung his Crook of Felony at it. "AAAAAHHHHHHH!!" He screamed as he charged.

"Let's try this."

Spriggan got a couple of M67 frag grenades from his tac vest.

"Get the guys who aren't fighting out of the way!"

He hurled them on the dragon and detonated them by shooting his assault rifle.

Gordon fired his rocket at the wyrm's head, trying to hit it in the eyes for the most part.

Blink teleported when the seats sprang up, and appeared on the wyrm's back. She was sure she could do this now.

The dragon snorted as Raz' psychic attacks struck it, and it turned to face the young psychonaut, opening its mouth as it did so. An ominous light began to build at the back of its throat as the sawlike appendage on its back slowly began to spin with a shrill grinding noise...

Clubs Deuce struck one of the creature's ankle, causing it to wince; it was possible that he had found an Achilles' heel of sorts...

Spriggan's grenades detonated against the wyrm's nictating membranes, causing it to hiss and growl in pain; the transparent shielding was bruised and scarred, but unfortunately it still held. The eyes beneath rolled about in agitation, but were otherwise fine. Much the same thing occurred with Gordon's rocket, though it managed to destroy one of the remaining four eyes. All the while, it continued to charge up for what was sure to be a breathtaking attack...

" Oh, Crap! ." Raz quickly threw up a shield and waited for the inevitable.

There was an uncharateristicly loud bang. If it had worked, both Blink and the wyrm would now be very, very high up in the air.

Clubs Deuce planted some C4 where he was, then he ran away from the wyrm screaming. "AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!"

Ravage blinked as the wyrm disappeared, then looked up. A thick beam of pale energy lanced across the sky, turning everything white for a few moments, and the Predacon was once again forced to shield his optics with his hand.

Up in the sky, the wyrm blinked in confusion with its remaining three eyes as it began to plummet. An explosion rang out on its ankle, and the beast roared in pain and rage as one of its legs suddenly went limp.

Blink merely teleported off of the wyrm, her job done. Having taken the time to concentrate, she had only vague ache in the back of her head, easily ignorable.

She reappeared on the ground.

Gordon looked up at the dropping wyrm, and his eyes went wide. He ran out from under the encroaching shadow.

The runbling is getting louder now, while the pile that Bowser was under is shifting. The ground's shaking as well.

Rey stared up at the fight, moving backwards somewhat. "This is rather...interesting."
