"You disappeared before I recovered my shield and lance back then," Selvaria told the Engineer. "These two weapons are the only means for me to unleash my Valkyrian powers - "

Her body began to flicker once more, and the soldier started to vanish from in front of everyone. She glanced at them, her face serene. "It appears my time here is up. Good luck, everyone. Stay alive until the sisters and I can bring you all home."

With those words, Selvaria vanished in a shower of orange light.

From Simon and the Engineer's helpful arms, Fate watched the soldier vanish. "Who...... Who was she?"

Jack made his way over to where Wreck-Gar was arguing with Maria. "For what it's worth, I agree with Wreck-Gar. Dimitri didn't need to die yet. There're a lot of loose threads that still need to be tied up here."

Pyrrhus wished he could stay and argue with Wreck-Gar, that their choice was the most logical one - if Dimitri had been so insane and so inclined to fight to the death, what are the odds he would spill where he kept the devices? At least that was what he thought.

However, at this moment such argument would barely be defending himself. Also, there are more pressing matter to care for. He promptly walked towards Engineer, who was having Fate cradled in his arms.

"Thank you," he said to Dell, before turning over to face Fate.

"I am glad you are okay," he said with a fatherly smile. "For if you weren't, I would forever regret that decision I made..."

"Ptolemaios..."'

Spriggan saluted Selvaria before she disappeared.

So long, Selvaria.

"She's someone who's a great leader. And an important friend when I fought with her against the Troper in the end. I look up to her a lot when I arrived in the first City."

Spriggan told Fate, hearing her question. "Do you want this?" He showed Fate the teddy bear. "Not sure if it's appropriate right now but I found this in the ruins of the complex and all..."

"I think I may need to talk to Braig," Maria said, shaking her head.

"It's over on the tank" Engineer told Mike before turning back to Selvaria as she explained why he never saw her powers before.

At Fate's question, Engineer seemed to think this over. "... She was... is, a soldier, and a very dedicated one at that" Engineer said, using his free arm to take off his hat and hold it in front of his chest for a few moments in respect, much like his old comrade Sniper would.

He put his hat back on and looked at Pyrrhus. "General, your arms look like they've seen better days, you should come on over to the dispenser as well" Engineer said to the Greek.

Subaru moaned softly as the kiss continued... then Shirou's light pat on her armoured hand made her realise she was probably hurting him. She dropped her right hand to her side, but kept her lips firmly pressed against his... until she also realised where she was, and who was standing right there...

Her eyes shot open, and she felt a stab of guilt. With a little yelp, Subaru jumped back, abruptly ending the kiss and casting an involuntary, guilty glance at Sakura.

"Oh Saint... Shirou, Sakura's... I didn't think... Oh no..."

Subaru looked away, unable to meet Sakura's eyes. She busied herself with de-acticating Cyborg Mode, returning her eyes to their usual blue. She turned around just in time to see Selvaria vanish in a burst of light. Subaru saluted forlornly, sorry to see the woman go so soon...

After getting his answer, Mike rushed Crona over to the dispenser.

Crona didn't say anything on the way, not really sure what to say. Once he/she was sent next to the dispencer he/she said "Thank you."

"No problem, helping people is what I do" answered Mike.

Spriggan continued to stare at the ruins of the TGS complex. The sub basements were most likely operational, but he has no idea on where to start.

He still clutched the teddy bear in his hand.

A blood-curdling scream echoed through Trope-tan #91450's lab.

#6147 and #6148 both struggled to maintain the sleeker, more stable and now-smoking machine. #246 and #1337 both rushed to the transporter pad...... and found Selvaria laying on it, her shield fused directly into her left arm, her lance literally sticking out of her abdomen like it belonged there. Ragnite was mixed with flesh, looking for all the world like bluish-gray veins now scattered across the soldier's skin, and she couldn't help but continue to howl in unimaginable pain.

"Dammit, get her to the regen chamber - NOW!!!" #246 shouted, an Anonymous helping lift Selvaria onto a hover-stretcher and both carting her to the medical bay in the next room.

Meanwhile, #19450 stumbled out of a pod linked to the machine; she collapsed to her hands and knees, her entire body smoking. An Anonymous came out of a pod opposite hers, his body smoking in a similar manner - though he stood straight as if not feeling anything. "Can't handle the heat, chucklefuck?" he asked #19450.

"...Give...... Give me a break," #19450 replied, #6147 helping her to her wobbly feet. "You know that... transferring my total immunity and... creating a temporary link to your collective... would put a strain on both of us. Besides... the machine wasn't ready for this... so there were going to be...... risks."

Both Trope-tans winced as another scream echoed from the medical bay. "Dang it...... we shouldn't have sent her in so soon... this is too much, even for her......"

Shirou, too, was snapped out of his blissful moment by Sakura's interjection. As he and Subaru pulled away, he glanced over at Sakura, noticing that she had politely averted her eyes, her left hand covering her right elbow. "C-Congratulations, you two..." she stammered, obviously forcing a smile. "Y-You both...m-make a great co-couple! You...You seem l-like you u-understand each other so well..."

Shirou couldn't meet her gaze, a spear of guilt piercing his heart. He hadn't meant for her to find out like this! Shirou turned to the fading Selvaria, saluting her respectfully as she vanished before addressing his friend. "Sakura..." he said, still a bit breathless from the kiss, which hardly helped his case. "I'm...I'm sorry...We were going to tell you, but..."

Sakura shook her head, a bright smile framing her features. "Why are you apologizing, Senpai? I-I mean...You two really look like you were m-made for each other. Wh-Why would I be upset?" There were no tears in her eyes. Her hands had even stopped trembling. All Shirou could see in her eyes was...comprehension.

"Senpai..." she said, her Magic Circuits retracting as she calmed herself. "Wh-Where will we stay for the night? I-I mean, your base was..."

"...I'm glad to see you safe too, Mr. Pyrrhus," Fate replied to the general.

When Spriggan offered Fate the teddy bear, the young mage glanced at it... and her expression fell, while she silently hoped that it didn't mean what she thought it meant. "No, Mr. Spriggan," she said to him, shaking her head. "Please leave it here. Maybe someone will come looking for it..."

"Rest."

Once again, Pyrrhus said just a word before leaving. He didn't exactly need the dispenser just yet - there are people more heavily wounded in tow. Also, there was someone he needed to both congratulate... and discipline.

"May I have a word, son of Emiya?"

Apparently he intervened just on time - Shirou, Subaru and Sakura were caught in a sort of awkwardness so thick he could cut it with his kopis.

Jack just stared at Maria, who had apparently decided to just dismiss his complaints. Okay, now you've fucking pissed me off.

"Oh, I see. You're going to go and talk to someone who you think will agree with what you say? Are you just going to ignore the fact that you guys might've just acted a little bit fucking rashly?"

"Understood. I'll put it as a memorial."

Spriggan knelt down and placed the teddy bear on the ground, with its back behind some debris. He gathered up some wilted flowers and placed it on its hands.

"One thing though." Spriggan told Fate. "Don't call me mister. Makes me feel old."

He gave a salute to the ruins of the TGS complex.

Engineer raised an eyebrow at Fate's reaction to Spriggan's offer, but didn't comment on it. "Alright little missy, can you walk on your own or am I gonna have to carry you around?" Engineer asked the young mage jokefully, "hey uh, speaking of which has anyone found a place we can use as a new base?"

When he heard Jack, he glared at him, even through his goggles it was obvious.

"...Oh," Fate said, blushing a bit. "Y......Yeah, I think I can walk." The young mage floated out of the Engineer's arms and landed on the ground; she was still a little wobbly, but she could now stay upright. "......Maybe we should check if the equipment Miss Selvaria left us back at that warehouse is still there. It's better than nothing, right?"

Shirou turned to Pyrrhus, thankful to have been given an excuse to change the topic. "Oh, sure." He followed the Grecian as he was led off to the side. "What did you want to talk about, General?"

Maria looked at Jack Noir and Wreck-Gar, "The guy took control of the minds of nearly every citizen in the City, built a robot army and a great mech in less than a week and destroyed an eighth of the City including our own base of operations."

"Perhaps we were hasty, but perhaps he would use our own moment of weakness to get away and rebuild his army like Dracula has," Maria shrugged as if she didn't know. "However, I do believe that finding Dimitri's base should be the first priority of those who are still able to fight."

Ravage woke after he heard some commotion and also fought the Metal Sonics and watched as Dimitri was deafeted and destroyed.

"It never ends."

"Lead the way little missy" Engineer said, following Fate because she knew the way... And because it looked like she might fall over and need catching again.

Cain climbed out of the tank, rubbing his forehead and groaning. "Excellent driving, Jurgen." He took a look around. This city gets flattened, what, every hour?

Hearing Maria's comment about Dimitri's base, Mike responded "Well I haven't done enough recently so I guess I can help look for it."
