Shirou coughed as the doppelganger disappeared through the mirror once more, glad he'd had his reinforcement to protect him from the worst of the damage. He eyed the bizarre liquid carefully. "Hey, can Mach Caliber analyze this stuff? It'd be nice if this could help us, but it could be poison..."

Spriggan began to check the hole when he turned the flashlight from the Surefire Vertical foregrip on his AK-9.

"Hello?" He shouted, making sure his voice was audible to anyone down there. "If anyone can hear me down there, it's Spriggan!"

Subaru slumped down, breathing hard, not noticeing the strange bottle floating towards them until it deposited itself in Shirou's hand.

"I can. Analysis: Exact composition unknown. However, liquid is infused with a powerful healing spell. It should be safe to consume.

Subaru shrugged, wncing as that made daggers of pain shoot up from her ruined shoulder. "If Mach caliber says it's OK, Then I guess we should try it. But-" she looked at her boyfriend, as if reading his mind. "You're having some too."

Shirou chuckled sheepishly, wincing as his cracked ribs yelled at him for being stupid. Obeying both them and his girlfriend, Shirou took his share, but only after Subaru had drank enough to mend her ruined arm.

Soon, the reversed pentagrams on both of the tunnels vanished; the slabs of stone blocking the paths slid open, allowing Braig and Crona to get through, and allowing Spriggan's voice to carry down into the doppelganger's chamber.

When Shirou and Subaru drank the contents of the bottle, a warm feeling washed over both of them. Shirou's ribs and spine were restored, and Subaru's shoulder quickly mended itself - even including the damage her cybernetics had sustained. The only evidence left of their earlier wounds were a few splotches of blood on their clothes.

Spriggan poked his head in the hole before he moved his body by flipping and landing on the platform.

Let's see where those two lovebirds are.

He illuminated the area via Surefire vertical foregrip flashlight, hoping that someone non-hostile can see it.

Subaru sighed with relief as her shoulder reconstructed itself, replacing the pain and numbness with a warm glow.

She grinned at Shirou, flexing the joint experimentally to test its range of movement. The repairs seemed to have been a success, even her implants were reporting full functionality. 'That was some healing spell...''

Glancing around, Subaru noticed the light shining down from the grate in the ceiling.

"Hello?" She called out, uncertainly. "Who's up there?"

She exchanged a glance with Shirou and clenched her fist, ready to fight again... even though she doubted the monsters in this place used electric torches.

"Just me."

Spriggan greeted Subaru, holding the AK-9 while illuminating her feet using the mounted vertical foregrip flashlight.

"Oh, Mr Spriggan!" Subaru said, relieved to see a familiar face. "Am I glad to see you!"

Subaru relaxed, noticing in annoyance that her barrier jacket had a rather lerge hole in the shoulder. She concentrated and regenerated the magical cloth as she filled Spriggan in.

"We were trying to reach Medusa's lair with Braig and Crona, when we got stuck in this room." she pointed at the now-fogged-over mirror. "Then that mirror made copies of us, and we had to fight them. Yeesh, that not fun." She shivvered at the memory of caving in her own face, and the feeling of having her shoulder torn apart by Gae Bolg.

"Anyway, what are you doing in Castlevania? Were you with Phyruss and the others outside?"

"I infiltrated the place on my own by chopper fastrope. I didn't notice stuff was going down 'til i saw Wreck-Gar speed off when I was in the gym." Spriggan replied. "I'm trying to link with Maria and the others, but I think I got lost. Come on, we should get up. Last I checked, no one's around."

He added, "One more thing. Don't call me Mr. Subaru. Makes me feel old when I'm just 16."

Subaru grinned sheepishly. "Heheh, Sorry! From now on it's just Spriggan, OK?"

"Maria and the others are here too? I didn't realise, they must be going after Dracula." she grinned. "Great! We'll hit'em from both sides at once!"

Subaru looked around. "Yeah, we should get moving. Crona and Braig should be around here somewhere, and they can't face Medusa alone."

A gloved hand reached out from behind a wall and waved to the group.

"Right...I'm should have expected this to happen to you guys...But your okay, right?"

Braig leaned over to check on Subaru and Shirou, and was a little surprised to see Spriggan.

Should he be here? He doesn't always have the best plans...

"I'm guessing you guys were in a fight, something was keeping me from checking so...I don't know, you seem fine to me."

Subaru ran over to Braig, relief evident on her face.

"Yeah, we were attacked." She explained how, after the blocks had slammed down to block their path, they'd had to fight dopplegangers of themselves.

"We took a bit of a beating, but we're fine now. We found this... potion, I guess you'd call it." She glanced at the apparently-deactivated mirror. "Just a boobytrap, I guess..."

"Hopefully some new traps weren't placed along the path to the lab, last time I checked there shouldn't be any."

Braig turned his attention to Spriggan.

"We're just going to negotiate. We're not starting a fight, got it?"

He looked at Subaru again.

"Okay...Let's keep moving, if there are others here then they should be attracting enough attention so the five of us can talk to Medusa."

Subaru nodded, checking to make sure Shirou and Spriggan were following before heading after Braig and Crona as well.

"I hope Medusa realy is willing to talk.." she muttered, clenching her fist. She didn't want Crona to have to fight her own mother, no matter how horrible that mother happened to be.

Hito-Shura arrived on the outskirts of Castlevania, curious as to why he felt like attacking a bunch of trigger-happy heroes was a good idea.

"Eh, hope he doesn't have any hard feelings, especially since I just left his 'Legion' and all..." He shrugged as he continued walking.

"Wheeeee! Do you know what I can do now?

"What, infidel?"

"I can control any and all machinery!"

"I'm happy for you and I appreciate that, but..."

"ISN'T THIS A BAD IDEA?"

"Genblem, Security Drone, shut up."

Django raced into the room—the sight of that Shadow out side sent him running. There was no way he could defend himself against such a beast with only one small battery.

As he raced in, he found that the room was occupied: a blue-haired girl, a soldier, and a particularly oblivious-looking young man.

"Are you folks with the guy who owns the 'ramen' stand?" he asked breathlessly. "I'm here...to help...I think..."

Bran had run after Django after making it through the kitchen. "Simon, you go after Dracula. I'll send Django back with you if I can."

Eventually he caught up. "Hey, now isn't the time to run away! Oh, hi Spriggan, Subaru."

"Oooo-tenko!"

Otenko popped into the room. "Well, things seem to be looking up!"

Otenko fluttered up to Bran. "Young man, you know these people? Will they help us purify Dracula?"

"If you're going after Dracula, I think we made a wrong turn..." Bran commented. "Yeah, they're on our side, but I think their target isn't Dracula." Bran met Braig's eyes."

I'll let you try to handle this first.

Subaru turned when she heard an unfamiliar voice. She ws on guard, but this guy didn't seem hostile.

"Uh, no, I don't know anything about - Hey, Bran!" Subaru relaxed slightly - or, as much as she could relax in the depths of the enemy's stronghold. "I don't recognise your friends, are they new arrivals?"

She turned to Django and Otenko and gave the pair a quick salute and a friendly grin. "I'm Subaru Nakajima, Time-Space Administration Bureau. Sorry, but there isn't much time for explantions, we'll fill you guys in when this is done and we're back at base."

She turned to Bran. "Yup, We're going to find Medusa, see if we can talk her down."

"Yeah. I got Simon and Zero... and a lot of other people together to try taking down the evil alliance. I met this guy here. He seems to know how to fight Vampires."

"I suppose you already know that Medusa's managed to drive the civillians in this area crazy?"

Subaru looked surprised. "No, we didn't know, we flew here... although it makes sense, she was giving Keith visions... Damn..."

Medusa's going after civilians as well... She curled her armourd hand into an angry fist.

Harima instantly remembered his horrible vision. "Makes me want to go insane after just seeing that... whoever did this, I'm coming for you..." Harima vowed. "I'm heading out for a bit, Rai... don't know when I'll be back..." Harima waved goodbye and walked from the room. "I know you're in here somewhere... I can feel it..."
