I'd get it if it was "vines with different powers", but the exact same Stand is kind of lame.
Wake me up at your own risk.I mean, it's a fantastic stand for a Hamon user. If Joseph had had it he would have completely stomped each of the Pillar Men.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"I'm guessing Lisa Lisa's variant of Hermit Purple might look different and have different powers, like how The Passion is a bit different than Hermit Purple. Still thorny vines, though.
On the topic of Shizuka, if she was a baby in 1999 she would have been ~12 by the time Pucci reboots the universe, right? Kinda hard to do a full Bizarre Adventure there...
... though I guess Santana would still be around by then as well, iirc.
Friggin Hayato was taking out the trash and he was in grade school.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"And had no Stand of his own.
Pucci's greatest crime was denying us the chance for an adventure with older Shizuka, Hayato, and Emporio.
That random bit or trivia that Shizuka Joestar can also be read differently as Jo Joestar is hands-down my favorite bit of trivia about anything in this series. I really wish we had gotten a series starring her. Hell, just make a series starring her, and say that the old universe is still going on, or set it in an alternate universe version of the old universe.
Well, I remember there were some fanfics portraying her as the protagonist. It even explored Achtung Baby's powers.

Growing up, it's like a civil war, don't turn away, it's something you can't ignore...Yeah?
Most I could come up with combining it with Hamon and giving her a Prismatic Rainbow Overdrive. I also pictured her trying to do Joseph's "The next thing you'll say is" and screwing up the predictions.
I don't think it was ever clear whether she could see the things her Stand made invisible. Considering her ability to expand the invisibility field in a sphere around her when she gets upset, if she can see what she makes invisible, that actually has a LOT of potential as a combat Stand. Let's say she can see what she makes invisible, but it's still transparent. Let's say she's fighting a guy in a building, and she gets angry enough and is powerful enough to turn the whole building invisible. Suddenly the enemy is completely blind to their surroundings, and she can kick their ass with impunity since they can't even see the walls, much less her.

Joseph thinks Suzi Q is pissed that he had an affair...wait until Lisa Lisa finds out

Okay, now that's a thing fanfic writers don't think much about.
But I recall one of them explaining Achtung Baby as being able to bend light.
Growing up, it's like a civil war, don't turn away, it's something you can't ignore...I actually had a premise in mind, just never enough to turn it into a full, proper story. The premise was Shizuka, at middle or high school age, returns to Morioh with the intent of finding her biological family and lends her aid to fighting Stand users that cause problems.
My own thought to dealing with her own invisible objects was training herself to have very good spatial awareness. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean you don't know it's there, after all.
Vanilla Ice vs Polnareff was nailed wonderfully in the dub. It's honestly better than the original and Polnareff's VA was at his best here so far in the show.
Stardust dub is a mixed bag(though way better than Battle Tendency's at least and I'd say it errs more on the side of solid to great most of the time sans some poor performances by Joseph, inconsistent avdol and the oras) but the good parts are really good. Makes me look forward to Part 4's dub.
But jeez Polnareff got effed up in that fight good lord. Guy lost fingers, toes, and a chunk of his thigh lol. Like TBH he shouldn't have been standing after all that.
Wha... what?
Battle Tendency Dub was amazing.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"I wasn't a fan of the accents in Battle Tendency's dub. I felt they detracted from the experience instead of adding to it like in Phantom Blood.
Also, new Jojolion chapter. I'm glad to see Mitsuba finally getting some focus. I'd begun to think Araki had forgotten about her.
The only major people who have really heavy accents are Caesar and Stroheim, and while I could see it detracting from Caesar since he has a more serious role, it fits Stroheim to a T.
Everyone else is spot on in my view, especially Joseph.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"I hated Joseph's voice. Such an ill casted role. Didn't fit him too well at all. Also suzie's accent was abysmal. I consider it worse than Stardust and Phantom Blood(which I slightly prefer over the original)
Kars' guitar was better dubbed though. That I won't deny.

Joseph's voice fit him, his background and his personality absolutely perfectly and I will brook no argument.
Like, it is a bit weird that it's so different from the Japanese voice. But it just has this fantastic mix of mischievousness but also the potential for gravitas that just makes it work.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"Going to side with Sigil here. Hearing Numbuh 1 as Joseph was amusing.
But I can't really hear a British person with a Japanese voice. I'd rather a faux-British accent over the complete lack of one. I'm kind of discriminatory like that.
DIO at last. Sure I know what his power is and what happens, but it's another thing to see it in action.

JoYo a great, da ze.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! When Weather Machine calls Pucci the worst kind of evil since he's "an evil that doesn't know he's evil", I kind of want to call bullshit. The worst villains in Jojo are unrepentedly, obviously evil and they know it. Especially Dio

Perhaps he means worst as in "most annoying". Pucci was kind of self-righteous.
You come to kill DIO he goes "yeah that's fair, but I can do this:" he doesn't seem outraged or anything until he starts losing.
All Hamon users get Hermit Purple.
Araki made it that way.
