You know, seeing the horrible cop appear again and suffer once more, makes me hope that he becomes a running joke, constantly reappearing just for Jodio (and/or someone else) to (deservedly) make his day worse.

So, having Rohan in this universe, either a counterpart or transported, one thing that I think would be great is the idea that, this Rohan has met and actually is a very good friend with Gappy; either as an ironic twist to their Part 4 selves, or because he genuinely likes this Josuke better.

[up]That'd actually be genius. He'd be like the Lord Crump of The JOJOLands.

But how can he be the original Rohan if this is another universe?

It does not make sense.

However I see that you are still convinced that the Steel Ball Run universe is the one born at the end of Stone Ocean (the Ireneverse)

It's not like that, they are two separate universes.

Also, Jojolands takes place in the Steel Ball Run universe, as we know that Jodio is the descendant of the Joseph seen at the end of Jojolion.

I wish Steel Ball Run was just the new universe. That would have been sick.

And it would make Speedwagon the most influential Jobro of all time, helping the Joestar family beyond the boundaries of alternate universes.

As for Chapter 2 I like Matte Kudasai. Where does Araki get such cool ideas for abilities - I wonder what the limits are. Can someone wish for another person and get a copy?

Dragona and Hotdog gu... Usagi both seem to take from Ermes.

[up][up]Fair enough, I would still like to see it happen at least one more time (maybe at the end of the series).

About Rohan, I konw that the universes are unrelated, I have pointed out before how the ending of Part 6 could lead to Irene but couldn't create Steel Ball Run. The idea that I had was based in me seeing people in multiple places suggest that the multiverse is going to important for Jojolands, which I thought would be cool, and could give place to Rohan being a multiversal traveler and having mnet more than one Josuke.

But doesn't the multiverse concept also deny the fact that this universe and the one of the six series are separate?

If I remember correctly, in SBR Valentine visits different univeris, and they are all identical to the one in SBR except for small details.

Ignoring the double negative

  • Steel Ball Run is its own continuity (Universe 2A) that can have its own multiverse (see Funny Valentine)
  • Stone Ocean is its own continuity (Universe 1A) that can have its own multiverse (see Enrico Pucci)

Think of how the MCU is its own thing that never intersects with the comics. Even though it is "technically" its own universe its never going to matter. Functionally, the MCU will never have its events cross into the Marvel Comics Earth 616, and Earth 616 will only affect the MCU tangentially.

Essentially, they are parallel clusters of multiverses within a greater multiverse. I can assume that Rohan marks a region of direct overlap between the two of them, but that the Joestar family have only proximal similarities across sub-multiverses compared to all the infinite multiverses which do not have Joestars in them at at all, or whose Joestars are completely different.

Even if the Joestar Bloodline is effectively different, I'm wondering if there are any other identical characters in the SBR universe besides Rohan. Maybe Kakyoin and Pucci have identical counterparts, but without DIO to throw a wrench in their lives with Diego long gone?

There was the Avdol in Stell Ball Run, who looked pretty similar [I think] to the other one (in the 10 or so panels before he crashed into a cactus, anyways).

They had different names, Part 3 Avdol had his Stand as a child, and Mohammed was alive in the 1980s while Urmd was in 1890. For all we know, Urmd is Mohammed's grandfather.

The cops are in surprisingly good shape considering the beating they took last time… Which wasn’t that long ago either, for all we know…

Also, the lecture about cops not being allowed to lie reminded me of this. tongue

I wonder what Matte Kudasai is a reference to… If it is to anything?

Frankly I'm really curious about Speedwagon. The Speedwagon Oil Company in SBR felt like a cute little Continuity Nod, where Speedwagon still existed, still went to America, and still struck oil, but since he never met and befriended Jonathan he never went full philanthropist with the Speedwagon Foundation.

...but then Part 8 flashbacks suddenly just have a Speedwagon Foundation that matches the description of the one we used to know. I don't know if that was intentional or not, but I'd love to hear how that happened in this universe.

Honestly, Usagi and Dragona are rivaling for the top spot of my favorite characters in the heist team. No questions, Jodio is third and Paco is fourth, but I can't decide whether I prefer Usagi's goofy personality or Dragona's warm personality on top of their gender identity situation.

Really the idea that cops don't lie is pretty stupid just with the concept of undercover cops alone.

That kind of necessitates lying since how else is that supposed to work.
