[up]Personally, the best song that JoJo has introduced me to is "Epitaph".

The thing about Giorno is that I can see him and Josuke having a very frosty introduction. Sure he's well-intentioned by Giorno is still a gangster and Josuke's grandfather was a cop. And they come off as very different personality-wise

What other Stands do you think would actually work well in CGI like Aerosmith? I think Manhattan Transfer is an obvious answer. Maybe Sky High?

Maybe the balloon animals made by Tubular Bells could be in CGI. That, or maybe Brain Storm, or even Go Beyond's bubbles.

Considering it's being written by the same writer as Purple Haze Feedback, I would definitely expect the new Hol Horse/Josuke light novel to have a lot of character depth, but I honestly want to see Hol Horse looked into more than anyone else. His motivations for being on DIO's side is one thing, but above all else, I really want to see his relationship with Nena be expanded upon.

I wonder if Hol Horse knew what she really looked like under the disguise. If he did, that actually makes it even sweeter. Surprised I don't see more people shipping the Emperor and Empress.

Also, D4C might work in CGI. Not the Stand itself, obviously, but the visualization of its abilities to travel between dimensions and the "sponge effect" might look good in CGI.

I think King Crimson would work as just input lag for a few seconds. Basically imitating how Diavolo can predict his opponent’s movements for ten seconds.

Imagine, you’re fighting against a Diavolo and then he activates King Crimson. Then, all of your inputs get delayed which makes it easy for the Diavolo player to destroy you. If you try to run away then the Diavolo can just easily follow and kill you because of your delayed inputs. If you try to fight back then the Diavolo can just easily dodge and then kill you.

There could also be a variation of this where the enemy player’s inputs show as like a ghost or shadow before their character does what the opponent wants them to do. For example, if the enemy player tries to run away then they run away as a blue-ish ghost-like version of their character before their character actually runs away. This would make the ability a whole lot better as then the Diavolo can predict exactly what the opponent is going to do.

Obviously this would affect everyone in the game except Diavolo, so everyone (other than Diavolo) gets input lag. With the blue ghost variation, everyone would be able to see their blue ghost versions so it would only be bad for you if you’re close to Diavolo. All Diavolo has to do is hit your (non-blue ghost) character and you’re out. A counter to this could be using your abilities as a character other than (the main) Diavolo, for example, Za Warudo would just cancel out the input lag effect and the Jotaro or Dio could then just donut the Diavolo.

Also about “the person who you were hitting was actually you in the future” thing, Diavolo could summon a copy of himself (that lasts for like ten or so seconds) and when an opponent attacks the dummy Diavolo they teleport to the same spot location as the dummy Diavolo (with the same stance like standing or crouching) and the opponent is then dealt the damage that they did to the dummy Diavolo. The Diavolo player can set this up by getting in the position that they want the dummy to be in (while crouching or standing) and then when the ability is activated, the dummy Diavolo appears in the same spot as the Diavolo player. Afterwards, the Diavolo player can just run away or can stay nearby to get ready to kill the person who attacks the dummy Diavolo.

Last one, maybe he could have an ability where he just donuts someone (just like how he donuts Bruno). It could have like a five second start up and just instantly kill an enemy (but it has to be extremely up close). Obviously most people won’t get killed by a move with a five second start up that has to be done extremely close by. But it could be so cinematic with the King Crimson ability. It could be like a 1v1 at the end of the game and a Diavolo player could then use King Crimson. The other player could then run away but the Diavolo player could then charge up the instant donut move and then donut the player because of the delayed inputs.

I remember hearing another You Tuber talk about how diavolo would work in a fighting game, they said that when epitaph was activated nothing would happen at first, but then it is revealed that the actions that the players took during the time that epitaph was active was the prediction thenthe characters would go back to their original spots. The opponent would be locked into whatever they did during the prediction while diavolo can walk around freely and set up a counterattack, if this is how it would work I can “ predict” that many people would break their remote as they watch helplessly as their character gets turned into a bagel

Whoever suggested there be a fighting game for this series then this video might be interesting for you.

Imagine you fighting Diavolo: you perform an epic combo which kills him. "KO" flashes on the screen with celebretory music. Then suddenly, the screen flashes red and the King Crimson sound effect plays. You hear Diavolo scream "King Crimson!" as the game resets to 5 seconds ago. Diavolo then sets up the perfect combo, and it ends up in you losing.

I mean they sorta did Diavolo okay in the PS 2 Part 5 game and ASB. (Althoguh in Part 5 PS 2 they handled his time skip real weird. In the first unwinnable fight he just teleports while in the rest of the game its represented by him slowing time down for everyone except himself and GER.)

So, speculation. What color will Johnny be in the Part 7 adaptation? Blue, white, green, or perhaps even a fourth color?

It kind of depends on what color scheme they go with for Josuke. I like Johnny's white clothes, but I also really prefer Josuke's outfit to be white, and it would be weird if their outfits were both white.

[up] It could be.

Also, this was probably never in the cards, but I was expecting/hoping for us to get a one more Stand from the Higashikata household before Jojolion ended. I am of course talking about a Stand from Mitsuba and Jobin's unborn child. Yes, a Stand from a fetus. And it would have been this universe's King Crimson, for maximum confusion.

Don't tell me it's impossible, this is JoJo, we've seen baby Stand users, animal Stand users, even a goddamn street Stand user (or whatever was going on with Shakedown Road and Les Feuilles).

Something interesting I realized recently is that Kira's bombs can be divided into four categories based on having two different types of trigger and two different types of effect.

  • Contact trigger. It detonates automatically when something touches it.

  • Remote trigger. He detonates it manually by pressing a switch on his hand with his thumb.

  • Explosion effect. The detonation originates on the bomb and has a blast radius, destroying the bomb and its surroundings.

  • Implosion effect. The detonation originates on something touching the bomb and only destroys that object, not the surroundings or even the bomb itself.

Every bomb he does is some combination of one of those triggers and one of those effects, and we see all four possible combinations across his whole screentime.

This isn't an inconsistency, switching from contact bombs to remote-detonated bombs is a key part of his strategy when fighting Josuke, since Josuke was blocking the contact bubble bombs with Crazy Diamond's walls, while the remote bubble bombs could pass through small cracks in the wall. And, obviously, implosions keep him secret while explosions draw attention away and do ranged damage, like with Sheer Heart Attack or the aforementioned bubble bombs.

I think this is a good way to think about and categorize Killer Queen's ability.

I'm curious. Which JoBro from Parts 3-8 has lost the most amount of battles they've been in? (I discount Parts 1 & 2 because there's no Stands, and fights tend to be much more personalized)

Hey, animals fight for their very lives every day just to make a meal, that's not strange at all. And we don't know what Shizuka's been through, my theory is that she developed her Stand to hide from Kira killing her mom.

I guess to detail the full list... (Discounting Part 4 & 6 Jotaro and Part 3 Joseph)

•Part 3: Kakyoin, Polnareff, Avdol, Iggy
•Part 4: Koichi, Okuyasu, Rohan
•Part 5: Bucciarati, Abbacchio, Mista, Narancia, Fugo, Trish
•Part 6: Ermes, Anasui, Foo Fighters, Weather Report, Emporio
•Part 7: Gyro, Lucy, Diego, Hot Pants, Mountain Tim, Wekapipo
•Part 8: Yasuho, Joshu, Rai, Kei

Which one out of all of these has lost the most battles?

Ah, we're going with "the whole Squad is JoBros", not "there is one specific JoBro within the Squad". Who are all the Part 7 JoBros? It's pretty much just Gyro, maybe Lucy too. Diego is more of an antagonist, and Hot Pants is a tentative ally, not part of the Squad, Part 7 doesn't really have a Squad.
