^x2 Don't Exeggcutor heads that become separated form new Exeggcute colonies though? So why would any separation of individuals among Exeggcute necessarily be fatal. Also, who in their right mind would attempt to shoot a palm tree?

Well, where would the other five seeds come from? Since they're all one brain, it would be like you having part of your brain removed and expecting it to grow into a new brain.

They're (partly) plants, if anything, they'd be more adept than most species at regenerating lost components of themselves....

A trippy fairy circle, eh? Most interesting.

Good work on the Exeggutor article, crow; it immediately brought this to mind as I read it.

This does raise a question though: what exactly is a dark type, and why does it affect psychics the way it does?

Well, in my Absol article I claimed that Absol projects an odd mental "haze" which prevents it from being affected by telepathy or psionic attack, but does nothing to prevent it from utilizing psionic attacks of its own.

No idea about the Dream World; without in-game dialogue about it, there's not really much that can be said. Probably an opportunity for a Fringe reference, though.

I love that Exeggcute article, great job!

And I was thinking of the Dream World as the collective subconcious of all Pokémon and people, kinda like in Psychonauts. The dream world would only be accesible by Psychics or with the help of a psychic-type Pokémon.

I think Dark types are psionic voids similar to pariahs from 40K. They radiate a Aura-like wave that disrupts and nullifies Alpha waves emitted by Psychic types.

Or Dark types are just punks and dirty fighters. Which for some reason, psychics can't defend themselves against that.

I personally think that they generate a sort of psychic static, which only disrupts the psionic abilities of their attackers and prevents them from being detected by telepaths; Miracle Eye allows Psychic-types to penetrate this static, rendering them vulnerable to psionic assault.

Well the moves themselves could be explained by being so underhanded the psychics can't see them coming. So it would be a bad idea to have one for protection in a bad neighborhood.

My idea for the Exeggcute article is that they disrupt and "jam" the delicate brain structure of the psychics.
