Roxas and Xion beat out the Wayfinder Trio in tragedy for me. As screwed as those three got, at least their misfortunes came from the villains, which is narratively expected. Roxas and Xion got discarded like garbage by the "good" guys!

Well I'm going by the collections order list so I guess the Days movie & then onto 2.
Which is good cause I remember having fun with 2. Not sure which difficulty I played but I don't recall having any difficulty with the bosses when I was a kid.

Speaking of II, I learned it's actually possible to get the Gold Crown at Lv 1 without stuffing yourself with stat boosts. Don't know how, though.

I finished 2 not too long ago on Standard, and I breezed through it. Granted, this was like my 5th or so time playing it, and I've been playing all the other games on either Proud or Critical.

Considering that the one fight you previously needed stat boosts for is a pure DPS check (Mushroom V), I doubt it.

With Mushroom V, it could be done by equipping Fire Boost, Bond of Flame, and going into Final Form. That Mushroom also happens to be useful for leveling Valor Form and Limit Form.

x2 Fire Boost is only obtained via level up. So.
Me. And it's less "having trouble" and more "clawing through Lv 1".

Found Lv 1 strats for Mushroom XIII that account for you having no stat boosts.
So guess who just realized they'd been consciously avoiding Kingdom Hearts news for the past couple of months and only just now heard that Kingdom Hearts 3 is coming out in like 7 days.
So I'll have to turn off Youtube, un-watch this thread, and pretty much avoid reddit for about a month.
Because I have college.
And classes I need to pass.
And if I sit down with Kingdom Hearts 3 I will not be getting up.
And if Kingdom Hearts 3 is spoiled for me there will be no SWAT team or military in existence with the training necessary to prevent the hell I'm going to raise.
But regardless I can't believe the date is so soon. This is the last game in the only part of the franchise that matters main series of games. I hope they didn't rush this game out to meet a release date.

I do want to say this to you fine people since all of my friends are Nintendo fanatics who only want to play Super Smash Bros the philistines that it's truly been... an experience, growing up all this time wondering when this game would came out. Kingdom Hearts is one of those games that really shaped the imagination of my younger self, gave me a lot of optimism, empathy, and creativity that I quickly lost as an adult.
It's cathartic knowing this story is nearly complete. Sora's initial "Dive to Heart" scene was one of the most surreal, thought-provoking things I'd ever seen and, along with Panzer Dragoon I think inspired a passion for writing and telling stories that fuels me to this day.
Even knowing that it's going to be strapped into a machine and milked for all its worth with cheap spin-off games in a push for an Expanded Universe that I never asked for or wanted (did I mention I'm not fond of X[chi] or anymore sequels?). Even knowing that, still, This... this really is the end of my childhood. A final loose end being tied.
Samurai Jack made it back to the past. Johnny Lawrence is teaching Kobra Kai again. Dragonball, Fooly Cooly, Invader Zim, and Teen Titans have all been continued or are going to be. Powerpuff Girls, Magic School Bus, and Carmen Sandiego all got reboots. We finally met Eddy's brother. Shrek got like five movies. Inuyasha killed Naraku. Naruto became Hokage.
And now Kingdom Hearts is finishing.
Out of fear that I won't be back until maybe half a year from now out of fear of spoilers, I do have a few choice responses for a few possible outcomes on release day:
- If Kingdom Hearts 3 is everything we hoped for and world peace is acheived
Excellent.
- If Kingdom Hearts 3 is an unplayable, glitchy garbage fire with lootboxes
Well I'm off to the timeline where Kingdom Hearts 3 was amazing and we all suffered asthma attacks from how good it was. Bye everyone.
- If Kingdom Hearts 3 was just a hoax/if I got the date wrong/if it somehow gets pushed back even further despite pre-order announcements
