....you've never gotten one?
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117As far as I heard it is pretty common to just get ghosted.
To the point that false statements of intent to contact you are now a known euphemism for rejection after a job interview ("on vous écrira" in French, "Don't call us, we'll call you." in English, etc.)

"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."That tagline at the end kind of implies this was based on real life.
Disgusted, but not surprisedIt could be but I do not think its necessary. Rachel Dill is the in-universe sender of the email Claire got, not a RL person.
I'm saying maybe Jeph based this on an actual Rachel Dill who sent him a similar email rejection letter in the past.
Disgusted, but not surprisedI somehow doubt Jeph has applied for a job for a while, considering what his patreon pulls in.
I doubt it's something that happened recently. It probably happened long ago enough that he can joke about it now.
Disgusted, but not surprisedAnd I doubt he would include a RL person by name like that.
Maybe not, though it's not like the actual specific Rachel Dill is likely to notice or even take offence. And even if they did notice, Jeph could always claim it was a different Rachel Dill.
Tons of people in real life have the same first and last names despite not being related after all. It's kind of inevitable considering there are billions of us. Monkeys and type-writers and all that.
Now, if a middle name was also included, it'd be a bit more difficult to claim Plausible Deniability.

Disgusted, but not surprisedWillow is too much like younger me, I don't like it >:[
Also, I kind of get the sentiment of "oh dang finally a rejection letter" because considering you can put a work days effort into a job application and they just dissappear into the aether, actually getting acknologment that someone is reading these things is a valuable olive branch.
Dang, there really is no dignity in job hunting.
Wow, Coffee of Doom, been a while.. And nice to see the Ozymandias poster still there.
Joke? Why are you calling it a joke? You drew a picture of two dudes hugging and wrote "I love hugs!" on it.Jeph drew his robot characters dancing in honor of Daft Punk breaking up. Is it just me, or is Yay seriously coming on to Roko?
Fresh-eyed movie blogD’aw, that’s so wholesome.
And Roko does not look comfortable with the attention.
Boundaries, people.
Disgusted, but not surprisedRoko might be uncomfortable with her body and the sensory experience of the electronica dance party in general at the moment as well.
Fresh-eyed movie blogAnd the fact that Yay is insufficiently doughy for her tastes.
What's precedent ever done for us?Iris makes the cut here but Lemon doesn’t?
Roko is the sort of classical introvert who doesn't dance much. It's just not her style. She'd likely be looking uncomfortable even if Yay wasn't messing with her. Which I reckon is all that's happening here, though Yay probably operates on more levels than a human-level sapient can grasp, and might be interested in some experimentation and expressing her recent attempts at socialisation in a physical way.
(Though I have to say that I think an actual sexual interaction between Yay and a lower-level AI would be either very clinical or the robotic equivalent of the best sex ever combined with a transcendent shamanic experience.)
Anyway, today also has a strip, and it's nice to see Pintsize back on form.

Man. Imagine actually getting a rejection email.
