I think it's worth bringing this here. There's a discussion on the YMMV.Devil May Cry 4 page about the "lady in red" (from Vergil's DMC4SE prologue cutscene) being Nero's mom... specifically if it's speculation or factual. I was the one who added it under Fanon in the first place, although I'm not sure if there's now an official Word of God statement regarding the lady in red.

With Great Power, Comes Great MotivationI mean, obviously she's Nero's mom. There would be no reason for her to appear in the cutscene otherwise.
Yeah I mean They is NO reason to focus on her noticing Vergil unless she's suppose to be or represent Nero's mother
____
Trish suffers from a bad case of Grandfather clause.
She's pretty much there to be Dante's Bond girl at the end of DMC 1 ', Kamiya puts lots of oedipal/ electra shit in his games, when he says Trish isn't suppose to be viewed as a love interest but has a love theme... He is fucking lying straight to your face
Her face turn is immensely lazy and unearned
Her just being Dante's sidekick for the future even further more. let alone Her getting the Sparda over Dante... which is BS and just give her Sparda's guns.. cause
and then Her fighting style is literally give her whatevers leftovers which has defined her gameplay since 2
Making things WORSE
is basically DMC 1 2 and 3 All use the similar setup of Protagonist Daughter vs Antagonist Father. So the girls all start to overlap.
Lucia is basically a more badass version of Trish with a better Design 'with an actual Devil trigger', Defined Fighting Style and NO Oedipus BS
and Lady is the most Fleshed out and realized of the DMC girls 'even if Bingo totally ripped off DMC 2's weird novel's Beryl... Weird is understandment... absolutely bugfuck insane is more correct'
Trish is only really kept around seemingly as not to offend the DMC 1 generation.
Lady has at least gone through a few distinct designs... Trish is still sporting her I'm totally not Blonde Trinity look from DMC 1 with maybe a few minutely noticeable changes 'which is usually a big tell what the team thinks of a character when you don't bother to redesign them'
Frankly They should reveal that Trish's revival was due to the Sparda and now with it Gone She's on borrowed time.

It's interesting because we know that Dante's known her long enough to see her as her own person, but V/ergil barely knows her. He can't help seeing her as an extension of his mother even if he knows she's not. It's probably not the first time she's had to remind someone of that.
Trish really did suffer from getting her initial character arc in the first game with its paper-thin plot. By contrast, Lady in 3 got a solid character arc and plenty of screentime, a few cutscenes entirely dedicated to kicking ass, and a boss fight. Basically the best you could get without being playable. Even though they've both had a lot less focus since their debuts, Lady still had a better foundation.
There's stuff they could do with Trish as a character, but right now she feels really underdeveloped. If you've seen the Champion Analysis video about her, that's the kind of stuff I'm talking about. Just...more of her perspective and what she thinks of herself and everyone else.
She has personality, but not much else. I am glad they dropped the love interest piece from 1, though. That was really weird.

Trish is a pretty obvious case of The Artifact; I don't think they intended for her to be a longstanding character or for the series to even continue that long. But since she's confirmed to be with Dante at the end of her first appearance, people are gonna expect her to show up regardless if it makes sense. So we get...her appearances in 4, and 5.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Goddamn I'm rusty. Picked up V again after a couple months of not playing and it took me a couple hours to shake off the cobwebs by fighting Vergil (on Son of Sparda, even) as Dante limiting myself to one melee weapon at a time. I came to the conclusion that King Cerberus' moveset just isn't as complete as DSD and Balrog's.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Being a Character Action game, you really do get punished for being rusty. Something I kinda always felt like a dealbreaker to me
Yea, that came with how people felt about her in MVC 3. It's too bad because her moveset in DMC 4 is pretty legit.
I should probably get some practice in today and tomorrow to shake off the rust. Doesn’t usually take too long for me to readjust, but still not a bad idea.
He's probably dad-bod Dante under there by now
I need to look this up again, but Kratos does still look good for his age even if he isn't nearly as buff as his GOW 3 self.
I'm sure Dante is still shredded underneath. Just don't give him his DMC 3 outfit.
2018 Kratos is definitely smaller the previous GOW series where he's a Renaissance-times Hercules statue, but he's probably still got a bit too little fat on his 2018 incarnation to be practically-realistic. So yeah, 2018 Kratos is still shredded unlike any of us could dream of.
Nero's Red Queen is a souped up version of a Durandal aka the Officer style blades of the Order that only Nero can 'apparently' handle
I wonder if Credo had gotten a round 2 fight would he have start incorporating Exceed style moves?
What would that have looked like?
Max Exceed Stinger from the corner!
Judging by Dante's forearms in 5, he's still got quite a bit of muscle. Just maybe not bodybuilder-shredded, but who knows.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.
I think Dad of War is Kratos is pretty feasible if anything else GOW 3 Kratos is a little unrealistic.
As much I enjoyed that boss fight, Credo's swordsmanship never does anything impressive. Ironic considering Credo taught Nero how to use a sword.

He's closer to practical, but I'm fairly sure there's still too much definition on him to be obtained without bodybuilding-show dehydration.
But I'm no sports physician, I just know some generalities that I can't claim are undeniable rules (for example, Bruce Lee looked more defined than 2018 Kratos and I never heard about him dehydrating himself).
A compilation of DMC/Raimi Spider-Man memes.
Warning: Willem Da Foe Mundus comes with potential nightmare fuel.
Bruce Lee was also on the skinny side, by these standards. Easier to be cut with lower mass, harder to get stark definition with really big frames.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%."Stings, doesn't it"
Oh my fucking god
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Da Foe makes a surprisingly good mundus and arkham. But maybe that's not that surprising, I guess.
I dont get it wheres the edits for DaFoe? I see a normal Da Foe.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Speaking of which, here's someone's (Алексей Холмик) YouTube channel of terribly dumb DMC memes.
For example, literally us.
