Huh, do countries actually get mentioned in the series? Like the DMC world has some obvious differences from our own even if you take out the demons but do we know for sure it's not a straight-up Constructed World?

Yes, Dante's office is in Las Vegas for one and the island where Lucia is from is said to be off the coast of South America and populated by occultists and magic users who fled persecution in the Mediterranean.
Also William Blake himself is namedropped as the author of V's book of poems.
Question everyone - could Royal Guard be a more subtle Bruce Lee shout out compared to King Cerberus? I don't know know enough about that fine fellow's own tendencies in his moves to say if the Block and Royal Block moves in anyway resemble something Bruce Lee's done, but Royal Release is much literally doing an "Intercepting Fist"...
