Oh hey, I totally forgot about this thread.
Souperboy's "Last Son of Krypton" edit has been out for a few months now, and is still available.
He uploaded quite a sizeable amount of clips from the edit, here's a few highlights:
The implication is, in-universe, Occam's Razor: everyone, including Lex and Clark, was digging for some deep, dark secret plot when there was none. Helen was pretty much exactly what she appeared to be; a shallow, generic Gold Digger with serious anger issues who marries Lex for his money, and killed him to take it all at literally the first opportunity. She loved Lex, but she definitely loved his money more.
This was foreshadowed near the start of the season with Desiree, with Lex learning nothing from that experience. And with people not listening to Lionel for the (admittedly understandable) reason that he is a horrible person, through and through. All of Lionel's advice is ruthless and heartless, but most of it is pragmatic and a lot of it is genuinely useful, if you actually dig through it. Lionel saw her for exactly who she was, but that truth fell on deaf ears because of how everyone regarded Lionel. In the larger plot, this serves to push Lex into the Control Freak he becomes starting in season 3; he never lets anyone have that much influence over him again, including his father.

Oliver being Lex's bully. Does anyone find this to be one of the funniest things about the show? "Lex Luthor used to get picked on by Green Arrow when they were in school" just sounds like a funny joke.
Put like that, it's utterly hilarious. Throw in the time Ollie dated Lex's half sister unwittingly, and well...
Ah, the proper thread for shameless advertising of something I didn't make because it deserves the attention.
Uses a bunch of clips from Smallville and the theme song, and it's well put-together:
Why wasn't "Hug" (Season 1, Episode 11) called "Handshake"?
Both Bob and Kyle (the Freaks of the Week in this episode) use handshakes to take control of people not hugs.
That would be pretty cool. Wonder if it would follow the comics or not
Smallville's Tom Welling Shares an Update on the Animated Sequel Series
Dude. It's okay to fucking recast people. Especially people who are in prison for coercing women into a sex cult that physically and psychologically abuses them into serving as one skeevy dude's creepy harem.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.You get all nostalgic until he mentions Alison Mack.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Guys he was just joking lol.

"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Man.
It's darkly hilarious that the break out character of Smallville is played by the worst person.
Like, Mack could have gone down as a beloved character just for that....but assholes gotta asshole and all that.
One Strip! One Strip!Nice thing about animation is that a decent voice actress can replace Mack more easily.
Wonder if they'd give Chloe a makeover too.
Wake me up at your own risk. You mean make her look less like Alison Mack? I feel that will just draw attention to the whole thing. No matter what they do, Chloe's existence will be awkward to some degree.
That said, I'm sure Welling was just joking about Mack returning as others have said.

I mean joking or not that's a big oomph for me. She's the standard Felicty Smoak, John Diggle, and Cat Grant had to live up to.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).It's probably best to write her out entirely for the series.

She was so intrinsic to the core cast it'd be awkward for them to just say "Chloe's away somewhere doing semi-important things."
It'd be somewhat callous to have them disown the character like they did with Kate Kane in Batwoman.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Whatever they decide to do, it's gonna have a lot of attention drawn to it, really. It's a big elephant in the room.
Wake me up at your own risk.On another note, I wonder when the series will take place and if they will take Clark's cameo in Crisis on Infinite Earths (2019) into consideration where he was shown to have given up his powers to be with his family. Oh, and Lex was mentioned to be president.

Annnnnd realized I'm neglecting this series where he lost his powers every week...

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Admittedly, they could easily say 'Chloe's with Oliver in Star City and working for the paper there' as she was in the tie-ins. But honestly I feel just getting a different voice actress and maybe changing her looks a little because people sometimes wear different clothes and hair styles after a decade would be the least obtrusive.
A decent retrospective on Smallville
Why exactly did Helen Bryce want to kill Lex? I've watched this arc several times and it all just seems so murky to me. She even says she's genuinely fallen for Lex.
