A few days ago a troper named biznizz changed the pic on the Green Lantern page from this to this without any discussion that I could find. I reverted it and brought the subject here to see if we should keep the old one or use the new one.

This is still a signature.

I like the new one better.

I like the new one—better quality, includes more Lantern incarnations, striking picture.

Love the new one. It has the original Green Lantern, making it all the more awesome. Though someone has reverted it to the old one.

EDIT: Reading Fail on my part.

How about this one? (remember, the image will be a little bigger on the wiki page.)

[up] Better than the old one, but (unless I am blind) it's also lacking the original Green Lantern, Alan Scott, which I find a shame to have an image for a series to lacks the person that was the main character for 19 years.

Either the current one or Ghilz' pic work for me.

Found a copy of my earlier image with better colors. Good with that one of the new one in the OP

My only problem with the new one, is that it's stylized and not representative of how GL comics look most of the time.

But that's it.

Hey, the aformentioned biznizz here. The reason that I changed the pic was that... well, it only featured Hal & Kyle. And the caption underneath was, and still is, REALLY, REALLY stupid. But I realize that I should have put up a discussion, but the last time that happened, the person (where I actually GOT the pic) was pretty much ignored. There was some major rewriting going on on the Green Lantern page, so I thought to take the opprotunity to make the pic look better (more than two Lanterns anyway). Sorry for any confusion or breach of protocol.

I like Ghilz's pic, since it also features all of the Lanterns. I don't mind if anyone uses the one that I put up or Ghilz's.

How about this one? Each of Earth's Lanterns (other than Alan Scott) gets a clear shot. Kilowog's a bit of a token alien, but at least that gets the point across that it's an interplanetary force.

EDIT: NVM

Still prefer a picture that shows the original character along with the present ones.

So far I like suedenim's the best. It lacks Alan Scott but a side note could be made.

I'm seconding suedenim's pic. It doesn't have ol' Alan, but to be fair, Mr. Scott has more in common with the Justice Society nowadays than the Corps proper, and this has been reflected in most media.

I'd also like to nominate Madrugada's pic for the Character Sheet page, since it gives a much better view of how large and diverse the Corps are as a whole, whereas the main topic is about the regular comic, which tends to focus on Hal or Kyle most of the time.

[up] To be fair, he's the reason the comic exists, what with being it's original main character...

[up]Absolutely true. However, if you notice, most of the tropes on the page apply to the "space cop" G Ls and their stories, which are arguably more well known than his Golden Age originator. Not saying one is better than the other, but we have to think about the spotlight, too.

I'll try and find images for the character page soon, so if nothing else, Alan Scott will get a portrait somewhere on this wiki.

I'll third the suedenim pic. Last issue of Rebirth with all the GLC humans and Kilowog, and that rockin' Ethan Van Sciver art... Yes. I just don't want a "But Where's Alan Scott?" thing in the caption box.

So.... how exactly do these things work out exactly? Is there like a final consensus or... what?

Well, now that we seem to have agreed on a picture, we discuss possible captions, if the picture even needs one.

"So where's Alan Scott?"

Yes. I do still think it's a shitty picture what with missing the comic's sole protagonist for 2 decades and original character.
