Am I the only one who finds Hanzabu's voice acting really jarring? It's so obviously the same guy who did... every male Pandaren, and it sounds like they were just like 'okay, now do your other ethnic voice!'
It's been fun.So that's why Daelin's voice sounds so familiar...
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.Funny, for me, the more I quest in Zandalar, the more I discover they are horrible and they are so casual about it. Like hunting people for fun or letting kids live on the street in drove.

Some of the Kul Tiran nobles are absolute shits even when they aren't working for the Ashvane Company, and the peasants aren't much better: ignorant and superstitious. There is a hilarious quest line where you have to help prove a woman innocent of witchcraft, and while I respect Blizzard's choice not to make it a whole reference to the "Burn the Witch" sequence from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, I would have laughed if they had.
There's also a quest line involving a Creepy Child in an abandoned village, and the constant bombardment of corruption and witchcraft in Drustvar sets quite the bleak tone. One gets the impression that the whole nation of Kul Tiras would be months away from total collapse if we hadn't shown up to fix things.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"No wonder the important Kultirans are voiced by Game of Thrones actors. It's more or less Blizz's take on it.
So what's the deal with Bwondsami? Is he good? Is he evil? Both?
Uni catI'm trying to figure out what to do Alliance side. My main is now a blood elf demon hunter, no going back there. My old main is my night elf rogue and I still love the class but I do prefer healing. Don't know if I want to play my human paladin instead.
Part of it is I don't know which spec I'd play. I want to heal, have never been that big a fan of retribution, and haven't really been solo as protection since MOP. I think prot lost a lot of its damage ability then. The spec seems to be drowning in defense with few options to squeeze more damage out of it for solo play. And then I've seen people solo as holy but no clue if it's any good or if that was late-Legion gear doing the work—or an two-handed artifact I have to replace at some point for sword and board.
My rogue is the character I have the most attachment to; she was my main since the day the game came out and the one I did everything on. I don't want to sideline her any further but at the same time I never even capped out Legion professions on her. She's done all my cooking, archaeology, and fishing Ally-side for ages. I could start over with current content skills on my paladin, but it feels wrong.
Decisions to make.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984I play Paladin in both Retribution and Protection specs, and Prot has always been pretty good for world content due to the high survivability and ability to grab and defeat lots of mobs at the same time. You're basically invulnerable even if it takes longer to kill stuff, whereas Ret does more damage but dies a lot faster.
I can't speak to leveling as Holy.
As far as professions, there is no longer any requirement to level prior tiers before getting the current ones, so you can get Kul Tiran Mining or whatever regardless of your rank at Legion or Draenor Mining.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I did a couple levels of Holy questing in Legion, more for the hell of it than anything. Not sure I'd recommend it but it's doable. It helps that some of Holy Paladin's mechanics, like its Mastery, encourage being in the fray.
There's also talents that help, like the one in the level 15 row where Crusaders Strike reduces Holy Shock's cooldown.

He's both, probably. All I know is that I expect him to break out into song every time he speaks. Dude is a Disney villain.
This song needs more love.Bwonsamdi is generally an okay guy. He likes to troll other peoples, but there is nothing evil about him for now.
I don't know, most people would consider demanding souls as payment to be evil.
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.I'm glad that there's a war on to pay Bwonsamdi's toll of a million souls for his help. Though we wouldn't need his help if there wasn't a war on.
It's been fun. There's a reason why a lot of people assume he's got something to do with Sylvanas' appointment as Warchief (even though he hates the undead).
This war in combination with the deals he's making in BfA might actually elevate him to top dog position among the loa.
Or he thinks Sylvanas' is his best bet of keeping the Old God worshippers in check who are encroaching on his turf (the Void apparently hates or fears Sylvanas and has been warning Alleria of her)

Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.Yup, whenever Bwonsamdi helps us in lore, there is always a big conflict with a lot of troll souls to pay his toll. Like if he is joking with his price.
@Nordmann: Well, we know beyond the shadow of a doubt that the loa were involved in that decision. I don't remember ever hearing which loa Vol'jin follows, though.
It's been fun.Vol'jin is a follower of Bwonsamdi, but all the Loa spirits whispered Sylvanas's name before his death. That's what he said in the cinematic.
What I "fear" at this moment about Bwonsamdi is that he is a blood bound loa of the ruling family. Death at the top of political influence didn't end well the last time. Also, being a troll doesn't help.
“You can’t be an important and life-changing presence for some people without also being a joke and embarrassment to others.” -Mark Manson.a mother sacrificed her daughter to Bwonsamdi for eternal life, that daughter's ghost has you hunt her down so she can be with her mommy again... for eternity. Bwonsamdi got a real good laugh out of it.
Given everything I've seen you guys talk about, I really look forward to doing the Horde progression quests on my alt after my main is done with the Alliance side.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"For the love of god there better be an alpaca mount available somewhere, those guys are so cute in game.... I would hang up my shape shift for one.
Heh. I use Travel Form for everything as a Druid. I may lose 10% speed but not having to spend 1.5 sec to mount is a huge time saver, as is being able to loot a lot of objects without shifting.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I'm the same with the shaman Ghost Wolf, even taking the talent that speeds up the wolf form.
He was bad news ever since Cataclysm. I'm more surprised that the rest of Zandalari nation was actually more good than previously expected. As well as the fact that Kul Tiras is filled with so much corruption among the Houses that I'm surprised it's still even viable for the Alliance.
Speaking of Kul Tiras, would you consider Daelin Proudmoore a Well-Intentioned Extremist or Not-So-Well-Intentioned Extremist?
While you can rationalize his actions from an outsider or tactic commander's POV (stop the Horde before it gains a foothold in Kalimdor), the lore itself seems to imply that his entire vendetta is based around his inability to get over his son's death. You have quotes from Blizzard like "You can't save him from himself" and "When my brother Derek was killed, my father swore an eternal oath to destroy all orcs on Azeroth."
And I also heard that Chronicles 3 states that the death of Derek Proudmoore is what laid the foundation of Daelin's enteral hatred for the orcs.
