Anything else than the PC version is terrible.
So yeah. DOOM. My favourite game ever. (I count DOOM, DOOM II and Ultimate DOOM as a single game.)
What about Doom 64 Kerrah? Honestly I find it almost as good as classic Doom. If it had all the monsters from Doom II then I'd rank it as better.

It's like I'm playing Tropico with robots and lasers!Never played it. My home had a Playstation.
However, it's an FPS on a console. My gamer senses tell me it sucks by default.

Naw. Try it sometime. There's a Total Conversion of Doom 64 on the PC. I honestly find it to be tons more atmospheric.
It's like I'm playing Tropico with robots and lasers!I've been working on a ZDoom weapon/gameplay mod for the past couple of years:
HD version since the embedded version looks like shit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXd3g4EyHiY
The version of Mutiny shown, Mutiny 2.5, is not yet complete. An older version of this mod, Mutiny 2.0, is available on the /idgames archive:
http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=15649
Requires ZDoom or GZDoom, Skulltag probably won't like it. Don't even think about using other ports.

Out of Context Theater: Mike K "'Bloody Pussies' cracked me up"Ah, Mutiny. I played the hell out of that weapons mod. I love it to death, So far 2.5 is looking awesome, I suppose the only thing it's missing is reloading, But that's really a taste call. While I do love it to death however, it's a little hard to find a doom wad set to fit them. I mean, a lot of Doom wads' later levels are in hell obviously so it kinda doesn't fit the all human tactical style of Mutiny. Got any good wads that could fit well with Mutiny?
Also Skulltag works wonderfully with Mutiny. Glad to say.

It's like I'm playing Tropico with robots and lasers!Glad to hear you like it. 2.5 won't be the quantum leap that 2.0 was over 1.0 (which was fairly crude), but it will have a lot of new features such as multiple grenade types (frag, EMP, and gas, each with different uses) and a less cluttered HUD (visible in the video).
Unlike many modern-day tactical shooters, though, the BFGs are still slaughter devices, even if they need reloading.
You'll want to use the bipod for the RPK, though. Rat-tat-tat, hellspawn!
Also, enough with stupid slaughter wads, let's talk about The Darkening II. If you want a map set to play with Mutiny, this is perfect. It also has some of the best maps I've ever played in my entire life.
I never really liked slaughter maps, both because they're excessively difficult and because they're tedious due to the long, drawn-out fights.
Other wads with Woolie's Stamp of Approval:
Phobos Anomaly Reborn
Project Slipgate
Dark 7
Whispers of Satan
Requiem (the classic of classics)
Community Chest II

Out of Context Theater: Mike K "'Bloody Pussies' cracked me up"Hee, Well I meant Maps rather than weapon mods in the first place actually :p. I've tried Diaz and Hernandez as well. They're quite good if a little hard, Try playing any of those with Cheogsh And you'll have quite the experience trying to survive while your ammunition starts to wain.
As for slaughter maps, They're not to my taste except for Deus Vult II, Because the levels have so much personality I don't really mind it. And if I do play a map set with ass loads of monsters, I load up a weapon/monster mod that's equally chaotic like Aeons of Death. Sometimes an assload of rips from other games is what the doctor ordered.
Ah yes. I've played all those map wads as well, But I haven't run them with mutiny yet. I should try that actually, better if I find a partner to play coop with said wads.

It's like I'm playing Tropico with robots and lasers!Oh yeah, and as for reloading, Mutiny started out as "Doom with human enemies", and I wanted to preserve the feeling that this is Doom—same universe, same space marines, same sort of game, so I kept more or less the original gameplay mechanics.
Out of Context Theater: Mike K "'Bloody Pussies' cracked me up"Ooh. Intresting. I can imagine putting this to use in certain maps. Good work.
It's like I'm playing Tropico with robots and lasers!Mutiny 2.0 is awesomesauce! But why does tossing hand grenades cost me a pistol bullet each? ?
(I am using Z Doom 2.4.0, FYI.)

That doesn't make any sense. I've never seen that happen.
Out of Context Theater: Mike K "'Bloody Pussies' cracked me up"Y'know that actually reminds me of something. I was playing Scoredoom with cw-sin1.wad and it produced the oddest effect, Aside from graphical glitches it caused my chainsaw to fire grenades at a minigun's pace. Turning it into a grenade machine gun.

It's like I'm playing Tropico with robots and lasers!I am currently random-generating a full levelset for Doo M II.
It's taking over half an hour. Giant levels, hordes of monsters, tons of health and ammo and powerups... This levelpack is like bad bukkake—-sloppy and overkill to the point of hilarity.
I'm getting horrible horrible memories of Nazi Auferstehung.

I have Ausberger Syndrome look it up and I have mental issues

It's like I'm playing Tropico with robots and lasers!I've been using zDoom to play Doom.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Wise choice.
I only wish it could play WA Ds with EDGE-specific code trickery. Oh, Immoral Conduct.
I havent actually bothered trying EDGE ever. Other than Doom95 I moved onto Jdoom for the sole basis that it had 3d models. And then I saw how superior Zdoom/G Zdoom was in terms of mods and I moved over there. Only two source ports I play on nowadays are G Zdoom and Skulltag sometimes.
For a while I've actually wanted to do an LP on Doom, But not just doom. It would be a series showcasing and playing through various mapsets , and probably weaponsets as well. Of course I'd start off with default weapons before branching off. What do you think of the idea?
It's like I'm playing Tropico with robots and lasers!
Ah yes, Doom, I remember playing it way back when I was a youngin'. I still play it regularly nowadays thanks to the 1000s of wads and addons that exist and are still coming out. The first time I played it was actually using Doom95 as the port, Back then I actually played with god mode on, I think it was because I was scared. Nowadays I play on GZ Doom or Skulltag with Ultra-Violence except on a few occasions. Like when I play Deus Vult II Or Kama Sutra. I've actually been looking for a partner to play Co-op with, but sadly No one I know is willing to partake in such an adventure.
