Damn....looks like I can only insert 1 youtube video at a time...here's me copy and pasting a section of my opening post.
Afraid westerners might be turned off by another weaboo animu JRPG game? The trailer...
Ignore the japanese voices and you wouldn't even be able to guess this was ever made in Japan! Asides from being absolutely awesome.
^ See the first video...the spear demonstration at 1:40 ish...on a second thought they look like scorpion or spiders...
So will this game have any chance of getting translated? Even if it isn't even mentioned in E3 or whatever you call it?

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."Looks like Dragon Quest Swords mixed with some Dynasty Warrior-esque elements. I'm interested... and somewhat surprised this hasn't gotten any publicity from what I've seen.
It's not unheard of for a localization to have a turnaround of longer than a year. Who's the publisher?
Not Square Enix, not Nintendo, not Konami, and not Capcom...
The publisher is Sandlot...a small obscure company that only made a small handful of games.
If it were one of the above companies I'd have more hope.

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."Mother 3: The sequel.
*sighs*
"The publisher is Sandlot...a small obscure company that only made a small handful of games."
? Publisher Nintendo. Sandlot developer.
Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here.okay, I have a tendency to mistake the two terms Developer and Publisher.....I'm more interested in the games.
edit: See?...I even mispelt publisher "producer".

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."I don't confuse the two.
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific Mackerel^ Cool Story Bro.

I have a message from another time...- sighs*
Actually, I think we're not getting Mother3 mostly because the first game to be sold in America didn't do all that well....much lower than they anticipated even.
Don't know why a game like that wouldn't do well...anywhere.

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."those arent ants they are giant scorpions
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans....giant scorpions are cool too...not as brutal, swarming, and dangerous as ants...but still cool.
So would this game count as No Export for You?

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."Hmmmm, doesn't really look all that interesting. Seems like a whole bunch of waggle, really. Apart from pretty big enemies, I don't see anything that Red Steel 2 doesn't do better.
From those that played both (not me, some user reviews), this game is better, not Red Steel 2.

I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.EDIT: Ignore what I said. I didn't watch the whole video.

While I will give Red Steel 2 credit that it looked pretty nice visually at some points, and the sword fighting was done pretty well, I still can not stand that game.
I don't know whether it was intentional or not, but the tone and atmosphere of that game...reminds me too much of western movies. Like not western as in it's made in the west...but western as in "balls of grass walking around, cowboys, sheriffs, indians born to help main characters and nothing else, and deserts everywhere"...I do not like anything that reminds me too much of those.
That one part in Twilight Princess...I'm indifferent to.

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."I dunno. It looks plenty Japanese to me if in nothing else but the art style and presentation.
It also doesn't look very good either, like Dynasty Warriors with medieval blond women. No fluidity in the combat, really generic character design.... It's probably not being translated because there's very little about it that's noteworthy.
What, you don't like the Western Part Of Twilight Princess? Oh well you're entitled to your opinion, but I loved that part. Link's crossbow training, not as much. The semi automatic fire just ruined the feel.
Anyway, if this game is published by Nintendo, there is a good chance we'll see it. Forget about your Earthbound Mother for a little while and remember Custom Robo, Sin and Punishment, Cubivore and Fire Emblem. Those took a long time to get across the pond, and one of them was intended. One of them wasn't even localized by Nintendo but still got out.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackWell the difference between those game and this game is...those game got attention. People outside of Japan know what those series are...and they managed to get attention, enough to warrant a release. Fire Emblem was known here already, and SSB made it even more popular.
Never heard of Cubivore though.
This game's attention? A single thread made by some guy with a Wriggle avatar in TV Tropes.
btw, the reason why Mother3 isn't getting an english release is because it'll be too big a hassle. A bunch of copyright bullcrap. Greedy people will take whatever opportunity they can to sue someone else in order to get some quick easy cash. And even if Nintendo does win whatever lawsuit is thrown at them, they still lose money anyways...Americans. Like the time some idiot sued, and won, against Nintendo because he claimed he owns the touch screen technology and idea to make it into a a gaming console...4 years after the NDS came out.
Anyways, they could either remove everything that could remotely get them sued, which is tons of work, or try to get the right to display whatever they are in the game, which is also tons of work, or just plain not take the risk, which is a lot less work.
In the end it's one big legal mess. Blame the stupid legal system and the people who live up to the sue-happy stereotype...............................

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."
Question: WHY ISN'T THIS GAME IN ENGLISH YET?!?!??!
See this? That girl just shot a giant's arm off with an arrow. Slice armies of giants to bits. Invade a colony of giant ants (atleast thats what it looks like) and take them all down solo! [[youtube:UDA-3SXmAak&feature=related]]

The trailer...

This game looks like it was aimed at mindless bloodcrazed westerners who yells GOD OF WAR!! at the top of their lungs!!
This game has potential to be the next Monster Hunter Tri (although it looks considerably easier...but then the casual fans will buy it!)
I don't care if this game becomes repetetive, THIS game is awsome from the bits I've seen...but the problem?
Yeah...this game was released last year...and no mention of this game in any con or event yet...no one knows about this game unless they intentionally search for it...what chance do you think someone will license a game like this?...and since it's a Wii, I'm afraid that Nintendo of America might just skip over this game thinking it's too bloody and violent for family fun...
