Luffy and Law should have a sitcom◊.
So should Baroque Works, about running their cafe.

That picture is wonderful.
If you hate Law(I don't but he does seem to have his detractors) take joy in the look on his face.
One Strip! One Strip!I agree. Law's "not amused" expressions are priceless.
Especially that one◊. xD
It should spin off from Cosby and Hitler.
That's still the best single panel of the arc.

The sad, REAL American dichotomyGod I love Law's expression there.
I liked this chapter. Doflamingo shows he takes shit from just about no one, Smoker shows he's not about to let an actively antagonistic pirate do as he pleases, even if he can't stop him personally, and Aokiji's appearance was both awesome and funny to me. The alliance is more fleshed out, and the strawhats actually got some interesting moments. Let's hope later arcs deal with Law's power a bit more delicately, so as to showcase the weaknesses of it.
Also, I don't think Shi-No-Kuni was that much of a failure. Half a day to kill isn't exactly weak (although it could definitely be more dangerous), and while it's somewhat simple to cure, that's only if you are able to enter/remove the gas and free the people in half a days time. I could see it being effective, given that it seems to have an enormous area of effect, and could thus spread through entire cities or possibly further if not for the fact that Caesar tried to contain it to kill the Strawhats, Law, and the marines.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/lb_i.php?lb_id=13239183440B34964700 Alfric's Fire Emblem Liveblog Encyclopedia!Yeah, half a day to kill doesn't seem so bad in the One Piece universe. Keep in mind that even Magellan's poisons didn't insta-kill, aside from his Venom Demon; Inazuma was able to survive his regular cocktail of poisons with slightly delayed medical attention, which wasn't even boosted by Iva's hormones since Iva didn't want to shorten Inazuma's lifespan.
...Still, it's a little troubling that G5 would decide to have a big party with the Straw Hats before going back to pick up their petrified comrades.
Momonosuke reaction-facing back into a dragon was priceless.
I'm so thankful Doffy wasn't worfed, and in fact didn't even confront the Straw Hats and company. He might still lose to Kuzan, but I kind of doubt it, and even if he did it would be believable.
I can't help but think that Law would be so much less annoying if Oda added more moments like this one.
Well, he's going to be trapped on a ship for the time being.
A rather small ship.
With all of them.
Poor guy's going to go insane.
It's already too late.
Say, could it be Kinemon's related to Kaido? They definitely seem to have a connection. On this spread◊, the obscured person top-left, speculated to be Kaido, has similar hair.

On an unrelated note, I just noticed: That spread has Bepo and two of Law's (currently) nameless crewmates, but it's missing his other notable man, Jean Bart. Anyone wanna speculate whether that was intentional or not?
Those two are named, according to the SBS, Shachi and Penguin.
Jean looks a bit like corner-guy, too, now that you mention it...
My guess is Law was sticking close to Caesar, waiting for the opportunity to strike, and gave his crew orders to stay away for the time being until he contacts them. Likely to keep them out of the line of fire when an opening presented itself.
Improving as an author, one video at a time.Jean Bart is like their team's Chopper.
I forgot to notice the facial hair Sakazuki grew before.
The sad, REAL American dichotomySmoker... you need an Arc where you solo the Shichibukai and apprehend like 3 of the Supernovas to reclaim all the momentum you lost in this one arc.
"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."Because that's totally something he's capable of.
He's having the same "success" rate as in part 1, or slightly worse. He didn't keep pace with Luffy or anyone.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyIt keeps surprising me how highly everyone here rated him. He's a guy with two gimmicks: He's incorporeal and has a stick with a magic rock on the end. When you take away the stronger of those two what do you really have left?
Some guy who really smokes too much.

I always thought he was one of the weaker Logias, really.
And he's been owned by a Warlord before.

He was effective against Luffy, and roughly equal with Ace due to elemental matchup. Other than that, there hasn't been much to expect. He's a semi-friendly face in the Marines.
Y'know, since he's dedicated his life to catching Luffy you'd think he'd be equal to him, if not stronger. I mean, in the 3 or 4 years he's known Luffy he moved up from a Captain to a VA.
"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."You know who else has dedicated his life to catching Luffy?
Coby.
Uh Smoker wasn't being stupid by using names like Joker or letting out big hints of the information he knew. He knew Doflamingo was aware of everything that had happened, or would piece things together eventually. Smoker knew exactly what he was doing and wanted to piss the guy off, hence Doflamingo saying "You know more than you're letting on...!"
It's not stupidity, it's Smoker being a dick.
I kinda liked this chapter to be honest, I guess. I mean compared to the shit we've been getting, this isn't too awful.
I'm pretty sure the concept of Law having limits was a translation error. -Wanderlustwarrior
