Channel update. In short: Episode 81 is coming out some time next month. They're also going on hiatus for about a month because reasons, but they're making a backlog in the meanwhile, also a bunch of other stuff involving Patreon that kinda flew over my head.

tfw the weirdest part of this show is when the main characters meet up with the actual, literal military.

It's so surreal.

Kaiba and Yugi secretly training for when they team up if the best thing ever.

A+ episode there.

That was pretty good. Was it the longest episode yet?

Yup. Second Longest duel in the show too.

Could be considered the first, if you dont count Kaiba VS Yugi getting interrupted by Joey's dreamduels.

But unlike with that duel, here Kaiba didnt get half as much fun playing a childrens card game.

I'm going to miss Dartz. He's the world's last link to Perfect Hair Forever.

Oh man when the english dub theme dropped I actually clapped a bit.

Definitely an A+ episode.

What a good episode. I wasn't expecting actual emotional stakes, but this episode and last one have pulled it off surprisingly well. Also Dartz's reaction to the never ending stream of bullshit at the end was hilarious to watch.

If I had one complaint, it's that I was hoping we'd get the "Actual 4kids dialogue" for the scene with

Dartz: As long as you have no problem with destroying an innocent soul.

Kaiba: As the head of a major corporation, I have to do that every day.

Shit, that's legit good dialogue.

They still have to do the Great Leviathan bit, which becomes even more bullshit even if it's shorter.

So was all that stuff about Dartz orchestrating his underlings' sad lives true in the original? I'm assuming it is, but it really does sound overly complicated and ridiculous.

Yeah it's all true to the original filler plot.

I remember liking the Orichalcos arc when I originally watched it, but yeah, LK is on point with bringing up the plot contrivances.

One thing to note: last page, people talked about Raphael finding a Chaos Duel Disk in his family's grave. That was a 4Kids edit; in the original Japanese, it was a skull.

Ah, but the orichalcos dueldisk was still in the flashback.

Its just tossed into the dug hole by Dartz himself.

I remember the Michael Bay Episode 1 special. Yugi draws the line at ancient aliens, but he "Seems legit"s all of these plot contrivances.

Holy Ra, this season's amazing.

and as LK pointed it out it still makes no sense since duels disks didn't existed at this point.

I really loved this season when I rewatched it in subs, but man there really is a LOT of convenient shit happening.

also can someone tell me what's the theme used when yami makes his comeback to dartz twoard 23:10 ? It seems to transition into the us theme after but I can't find anything that sounds close to that.

Given the Adaptational Jerkass that...almost everyone in the abridged series suffers(particularly the Pharaoh), Dartz' arguments against him make way more sense than in canon...at least if, much like canon, Dartz wasn't a total hypocrite

I suspect it won't happen (since it is in bad taste), but I want some sort of dialogue where evil Bakura talks about how there's now a Hurricane Florence.
