Mitsuru isn't the most interesting of the P3 cast, but I don't think she's much duller than the P4 or 5 cast either.
Depends on what you like in your characters; but in something as plot heavy as Persona, I kind of expect a certain level of dynamism to care.
In less plot heavy games, quirks are fine since those are character driven anyway.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Mitsuru is too perfect. Class Pres, richer than god, taking college courses 2 years ahead of her while still managing to fight shadows and be class pres and everything else, etc. I dropped the Sue bomb on her before and it still fits.
Her only flaw is she cant understand the common people.
Least with Haru she has the issue of trying to avoid the Extreme Doormat problem with Yamato Nadeshiko and cant actually run a huge company... unlike Mitsuru.
EDIT: Hell her being a senior and still class pres is an issue in of itself, 3rd years rarely continue the class pres thing because they need to focus on studying. Hence why Makoto, a second year, is pres.

Mitsuru's flaw is being the best character in any Persona game, thus making everyone else look bad in comparison. Poor Mitsuru.
So she's literally too perfect then?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."In a game where the rest of the cast have a ton of baggage and overcoming flaws, it makes Mitsuru stand out for her lack of them. Even the Social Links don't really provide a whole lot, she's indirectly important to the greater plot, but that's about it.
Yep, that's exactly right. She's just too good of a character for the series. She makes it clear how terrible everyone else is. The best they can do is manage to be fairly good on occasion.
Honestly she sounds like a sociopath.
Too perfect to the point of being inhuman.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Please, at least call her a humanoid abomination given that she can't even pass for human while eating fast food. I DO NO UNDERSTAND YOU'RE HU-MAN FOOD.
And any lesson shes supposed to learn is of course forgotten. Like relying on others, which she expressly tries not to do in the Arena games and she has to learn again. Ultimax even ignores her knowing the Country bumpkins wont listen in Arena and expects them to Investigate.
Its why I hope Yaldy just demolished SO offscreen because its an unnecessary thing and its one of he worst uses of P3 gang. Plus the first threat we are shown them dealing with handles them like little babies.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession."Arena's writing ruined characters" is basically just saying "water is wet."
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Ha just wait till we get P5 Arena.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."More like "Geez Atlus writers why cant you give your characters arcs that dont repeat in spinoffs?!"
P Qs great though because they have those arcs for P3 just to enforce how theyll forget it all and the tragedy happens proving Zeus is right.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Mitsuru is so perfect that even people in real life are jealous of her and thus, must hate her because they aren't her.
Makoto inherited her will to carry on her legacy.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Like just make them sociopaths then.
That be pretty fun actually.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."If a nut like Hitler could canonically be a persona user (and not just Nyarly pretending to be him) I dont see why sociopaths can't.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Personally, I don't mind that Mitsuru is perfect because in an actual fight (least in vanilla P3 and FES), her AI is absolutely rubbish as it will waste her turn on ailment spells like Marin Karin or Tentarafoo instead of doing something useful.

Mitsuru was always my favorite P3 character along with Shinji.
She's just really likable with an awesome design, voice and personality.
OUTTA MY WAY!
Okay I've rather latched on to the concept of having teammates comprised of various types of sociopaths & pyschos.
Digging deep into the mental mind & Persona's of a bunch of positively deranged people sounds like a wild hoot.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Just make an Evangelion Persona game where Personas are only activated or powered in direct proportion to how disturbed you are.
Kinda the opposite of the normal games where they receive new Personas by becoming self-actualized. They achieve their new Personas when they have reached peak disturbed and traumatized.

Makoto literally spends her vacations studying in the school!

I beat Shadow Okumura, and I feel disappointed with the bosses, honestly. Not that it's because they're easy but yeah they're all super easy, but their designs. I was expecting them to go through weird, but epic One-Winged Angel forms like in Persona 4, but really only Kamoshida did that. Madarame and Kaneshiro don't look threatening at all, you don't fight Futaba (Sphinx is great though), and Okumura's is...sitting on a chair. The actual boss is a palette swap of a miniboss.
For bosses named after demons of the deadly sins, I was expecting more...
Don't count your chickens before they hatch.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.Shadows son!
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
When you don't have much character development, quirks can take you a long way. It's why despite being a party member and main part of the group since the beginning, I never much cared for Mitsuru.
