Pretty much, yeah.

Replacing the "h" with an " ' " is meant to represent someone missing out an h (duh) so that when the text is read out loud, it has the effect of making someone sound like an 'orrible, 'einous, under'anded thug (though it's usually only used if h is the first letter). For best results, speak in a low cockney accent and replace "g" in words like "landing" with an "'" to make a good job of representin' the scum an' lowlives of society, got it?

Roight, so talk loike an ork den. Works a treat, it does.

Sadly, over here the only way to make a convincing Lower-Class Lout accent is to sound like you or your family two or three generations back came from North Africa.

So, Sullen, how's that RP you made progressing?

Also, sorry if I'm being completely sub-par over there in yon main thread. I feel my writing skill with Mary and Reiko are resembling a teenage couple's first clumsy passion-induced fumble. A shameful display that will probably end up with someone crying and nursing a bottle of Smirnoff Ice when it's all said and done. (Though I hope it won't be me.)

Nor me.

INCONSISTENCY ALARM ACTIVATED! I just found a reference to a Tyranid fleet escaping into the warp in a 40K book. TO THE FORUMS!

By the way, I finished reading Fallen Angels last night; I've gotta say, the resolution of both plots was somewhat disappointing.

Hey guys. I know it wasn't officially requested, but here it is anyway.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you:

Arcturus's Theme!

Also the reason why it is up early is because I'm leaving tomorrow and I will not be able to do anything for a couple of days.

Enjoy!

Ashe? Really? Sad Little Try-hard.

That was superb, Meta-Ridley; that piece really conveys the essence of Arcturus' character, in my opinion—a guy who has been through more shit than any single person should ever have to bear, yet perseveres in spite of it. Three thumbs up! (Also, I may send you a PM for another musical request; PM, as it will relate to upcoming events).

Very good, Meta-Ridley.

Now, I ask you, do you remember us talking about the Ultimate Warboss?

It's hard to take your country's navy seriously when they give their ships names like "The Awesome", "Gowind" and "The Fearsome" (the guy doing the presentation is from a naval shipyard).

^^ Does Cypher continue his strict non-interference policy?

^ Is he the one who got his hands on the Codex?

Mmhm. Which "completes" the Ork development.

Wish me luck, Brothers, for today is Speech Day, on the subject of how the English language was formed.

Be sure to explain to them the illuminated views of Kharn the Betrayer, for who life itself can be summed up in three words (KILL! MAIM! BURN!), and can even do with a single one (Attack, the only one worth remembering).

Stoopid ship name update: the Triumphant, the Foolhardy (no word on whether it was equipped with actual weapons or simply rammed and boarded enemies), the Terrible (in the sense of "as great and terrible as the sea"), and, Khorne help me, the Ruby, Sapphire and Amethyst. The last three are to be replaced with Barracudas, a far more appropriate denomination, I'm sure you'll agree.

Good Emperor this keyboard is even worse than mine, at least five keys require vigorous pressure to work.

Slaanesh didn't come into being until the thirty-thousands.

The remaining Chaos gods were all awake and aware in the Renaissance. Which raises the question, why the hell didn't they manifest then? Were they never worshipped, never prayed to? You could make a case that every single war go is an aspect of Khorne, less so for Nurgle (who might have existed for longer than the other two in different form as Nergal) or Tzeentch, but what is it that prevented them from taking over (remember Genghis Khan is granted daemonhood by Khorne presumably shortly after death).

S/he was created by the Eldar screwing so enthusiastically they squicked hir into existence, around 29K.

...what? So Khorne, Nurgle and Tzeentch got enough bloodrage, sickness and CHANGE out of humanity (and some other species), but we could not supply not enough lust until the Eldar started doing giant orgy parties of excess?

...for some reason, that sounds really strange to me.

It's 'cause we're all numb, man; the Eldar, they're cosmic—they can feel in ways we can't, ya know?

It's something to do with how Eldar's emotions/sensations are so much more powerful than humans, they generate a lot more emotion-ism stuff. Also, by that point the Eldar were a united empire who could afford mass daily cannibalistic orgies, humans were still concentrating on surviving on their own planets/ agreeing enthusiastically to whatever the guys with great big bolters and their shiny Emprah were telling them to do, there just wasn't enough collective perversion on the human's side.

Yeah, the Fall of the Eldar is what brought Slaanesh into the picture. As all of them are have at least latent psyker talent, they have fun, fun bonus of having a heavy influence on the Warp. So, when they as a species are nearly all ridiculously hedonistic douchebags, and since they decided to do this when they were the dominant species in the galaxy, Slaanesh happened. Though I must contest Chabal on some timeline issues. 29k, really? I mean, even after humanity's' golden age was over and done? [Citation Needed], please. The Lexicanum page for the fall of the eldar has some sourcing problems.

The First Heretic implies that the Fall of the Eldar occured at some point during the Age of Strife, long before the Great Crusade. Just wanted to throw that out there.

Anyway, the resolution for both plots in Fallen Angels was somewhat disappointing. For starters, the Jonson/Nemiel plot (not remotely shipping-related, so get yo filthy minds outta da guttahz) takes place largely on an Imperial Forge World known as Diamat; it is the closest forge world to the Isstvan system, and Lion El'Jonson knows that if Horus, who has just begun his Heresy by virus-bombing the hell out of Isstvan III, wants to resupply his forces before a huge strike force composed of several Space Marine legions (Iron Hands, Salamanders, Raven Guard, Word Bearers, Night Lords, Iron Warriors and [possibly] the Alpha Legion) reaches the Isstvan system—a journey which will take them about eight weeks or so—then he is going to have to take Diamat.

Jonson takes a small strikeforce composed of the first and second companies and goes to Diamat to head him off at the pass; after a pitched space battle with the small Horusian raider fleet in orbit, the Dark Angels are deployed to the surface and, despite being knocked askew during the launch of their drop-pods, manage to clear out all the rebel forces on the ground.

Shall I continue?
