I nicknamed my Snorlax JOE after my brother. He did not take it well. I haven't used nicknames after that. I do however accept traded pokemon with nicknames. From an online trade I have a shiny H. Zoroark named Sparkles.
see my completed Tangled (Varian) fanfic collection! https://archiveofourown.org/works/24467056/chapters/59049532I traded Pokemon with a friend the other day. I had to suppress the desire to name one of them EDELGARD_SUX.
Nach jeder Ebbe kommt die Flut.I tend to nickname any Pokemon that I use for an extended period on my team, usually just picking the first name that comes to mind when looking at it and feels like it fits.
Somewhere, those are fighting words.

Wake me up at your own risk.I decided to start Violet with Fuecoco.
If you play with fire, you're gonna get burned.Re: Pokemon Nicknames: I never really give nicknames with a specific theme in mind; usually I just use a reference to a piece of media I consumed if it fits the Pokemon in question (for example my G-Darmanitan Todoroki, and my Tyranitar Sue, and a Stonjourner I traded named Gorignak)
Also, I remembered this one time in Sword where I named a Gallade I bred Valiant (it was before ScaVi)

So remind me again.
When you Terrastalize a pokemon that's a dual type, the terra type overwrites one of mons types, doesn't it?
Or do you now have a mon with three STAB?
One Strip! One Strip!Pretty sure it’s 3 STABs.
‘My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’Well shit.
Terratalization wins!
Like, all you have to do is get the right Terra type, and you've got a mon that can not only potentially nullify it's own weaknesses, but cover an extremely wide variety of types, provided your mon can learn moves of that type.
One Strip! One Strip!Blast, did you sense my intent to name that Pokemon "Rhea did nothing wrong."
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.
'Tera'. One R. As in 'trillion', not 'earth'
By the way, the “tera-“ prefix etymologically means - appropriately enough in this case - “monster”.
Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project!About Ultra Necrozma, it is level 60, but it basically has +2 in every stat, so it has double everything.
I just went with Zoroark, disguised it as Haunter, and Foul Played twice. But was already planned to go that way; I had always wanted to use a Zoroark in a playthrough, and I was happy my strategy panned out.
Yeah ultra necrozma is unfair with it level and buffs, like its outspeeds you even if you paralyzed it.
After 10 year plus years I have the confidence to be here. Let's give it EVERYTHING we've got! It's...PUNISHMENT TIMEThe good thing about having Zoroark in that lineup is that depending on the lead, Necrozma is too dumb to do anything to it.
It's been 3000 years…So.....anyone know any good Pokemon fangames right now?
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Looking for anything in particular?
Wake me up at your own risk.So I've decided that if I ever get back to Pokemon and actually play my copies of Sun and Ultra Sun, I'm gonna name my Rockruff Weed.
Then I'm gonna give him his own damn theme song, which is literally Weed's theme song.
It will of course, need to be a Shiny Rockruff.

One Strip! One Strip!I've already conquered Insurgence, Reborn, Rejuvenation, Desolation, Unbound and Team Rocket Edition.
I'd like another adventure in the Pokemon world, maybe a new region with game mons, none of those fakemons.
Uranium is prolly the only Fakemon game I'll try.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. If you prefer more different versions, Infinite Fusion or Emerald Rogue could strike your fancy.
It's been 3000 years…Does Emerald Rogue have it's own unique storyline?
Like I quite enjoy Pokemon Fangame stories because while some might not be exactly good quality, they have a certain level of sincerity in the writing that I appreciate.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Pretty sure Rogue doesn't really have a story, since it was primarily built for the challenge run community.
On the subject of nicknames, I've had a bit of fun nicknaming two of my Tandemauses after two of my favorite pairings from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. The shiny one got the name of the pairing that's trickier to achieve.
If I really enjoy a game, book, series, or any type of creative work, there's a good chance I'll nickname Pokemon after characters from that game. One of my latest ones (and yet another example of my lousy sense of humor) is a Porygon named Kinito.
