Tbf Krokodile is the best of his Unova Pokemon by a long shot. The coolest and with a really great story.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."x2 Not to be rude, but I don't think the majority of this thread cares. We have a dedicated thread for the anime to discuss that stuff.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Edited my above post because I forgot one important note: Ash's real "best Pokemon" was actually the one that won 100% of the tournaments it participated in, and was recognized for its strength, by someone who basically stole it from a naive kid afterwards. That Pokemon was Primeape.
Well you are being rude. This is a general thread, and has already discussed animation at several points before. Plus the very first response was someone who cared to comment. If you don't care, that's fine, but that's you, and you don't have to comment.
Probably, but I'm not a part of that thread, and don't really intend to pop in just for that.

The sad, REAL American dichotomyYou'll get a better response in the anime thread, though
Well, guess it'll be up to me to post that video... Without the details you wrote :p
"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."This is the general thread for the games specifically. The majority of the discussion is about them. Animation talk does pop up, but it's infrequent and typically involves stuff like Legends that's not tied to the TV show. Plus it's not like you see any manga talk here either.
I don't know about you, but I've been following this thread for nearly a decade. Trust me when I say a large chunk of people here do not care about Ash, and any that do keep talk related to him confined to the dedicated anime thread. One post is not indicative of this specific sub-community.
Ultimately, what I'm saying is that you're going to get more engagement if you post that to the other thread.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? It's not a huge deal to me to talk about the anime here every now and then, but yeah, probably would get more of a response in the anime thread.
I'd be fine with talking about the anime or manga occasionally.
BDSP must not have much new stuff going on if the best they can show off in trailers is the Poketch, Poffin-making, and unchanged characters we've known for a decade and a half.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! The game also seems to lack changes from Platinum outside of its expanded Dex apparently being found in the Underground.
Really lame, honestly.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?See the problem here is...your response made you sound like an asshole.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. The changes from Platinum (and stuff like the Battle Frontier) not returning is a downer, but they did say it'd be mostly faithful to the original games, so it's expected. That doesn't mean they couldn't improve stuff that doesn't change the quality of life of the original games while not affecting gameplay or story though.
I wonder if they'll finally release the Azure Flute event in BDSP... Probably as a tie in to Legends Arceus.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI'm just wondering how Manaphy will fit in, as there's no longer a Ranger game to tie into it.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."...
The Battle Frontier beyond the Battle Tower and perhaps the Factory (which is a simple Challenge Cup) is a gimmick. SPECIALLY the Emerald one, with stuff like letting Pokemon fight with no imput.
Yeah, the large area with facilities was neat, but, to be honest, it never really did much. Emerald hyped it up at the expense of contests, yet it doesn't really add much. Platinum had a more sane approach, but still... eh. And HGSS had what may as well be a portal to Sinnoh in Route 40.
The Battle Subway and Maison, meanwhile, had 4 battle types, going by the 4 rulesets in those gens. NGL, being able to play Triples and Rotations at Battle Tower levels has a tad more depth than "hope the nature of your 'mon makes it fight properly".
I’m not really sure how I feel about these remakes. It’s concerning that the thought process for most things from the overworld to character design is just doing the same thing as D/P. I expect remakes to use the originals as a base and build from there, but we’re mostly seeing the same content.

¿?¡!I agree with you. In past remakes like HGSS and ORAS they gave redesigns to many characters including the player characters and gym leaders, but they aren't with BDSP (I would have liked Gardenia or Candice to wear a different outfit like Flannery did in ORAS). Mauville City in ORAS was also completely revamped into something new, but I doubt anything similar would happen with any of Sinnoh's cities. No advertising for Mega Evolutions and upgraded forms for the cover legendaries, unlike ORAS, suggest they won't be in these games either.
Seems like Game Freak and ILCA are somehow going out of their way to underdeliver Gen 4 just for the sake of "faithfulness" and to allocate more resources to Legends Arceus. Gosh I hate that f-word.

"My swimsuit fits me well, right?" - CynthiaDoes Game Freak have any involvement with the remake?
Where there's life, there's hope.I remember reading that Legends Arceus started out as a HGSS/ORAS style reimagining of the Sinnoh games but eventually they had so many new ideas it just became its own thing, and that's why they passed the job over to these other guys, who I guess were told "make this one more of a remake" and took it too literally or something.
It's a shame, since as someone who grew up with Gen 4, I was so looking forward to a full-on modern reimagining of the Sinnoh region like was done to Hoenn. Hopefully BDSP is decent, but I'd also like to see another, more ambitious go at Sinnoh remakes sometime in the future.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonI keep hearing that such a thing is how Legends Arceus came to be, and it certainly sounds plausible, but I have no idea what the source for this information is. I don't think it's from any sort of interview, so I assume it's just insider knowledge or a guess from a fan made around the reveal that's now seen as fact? Unless I did miss someone from Game Freak or TPC commenting on the game?

These games feel more like remasters than full remakes.
x2 It's just a popular theory.
Personally I'm fine with the remakes being faithful. Redesigns can be hit or miss and I'm not a fan of ORAS's redesigns for like half the Gym Leaders (And of the ones I don't outright hate I'm iffy about them, Tat and Liza being exceptions.) so I'd rather designs that're faithful to the originals over risking making the designs worse(From my perspective.).
I don't care whether the NPC's get redesigns or not, but footage so far hasn't really convinced me this won't just be "Diamond and Pearl but with 3D models, and Gen 8 movesets/typings".
Which I guess meets the bare minimum requirements to be a remaster, but FRLG, HGSS, and even ORAS had tons of good additions to offer on top of just remastering the visuals.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Seeing what I’ve heard about the Sinnoh remakes, unless this entire time, they’ve been hiding something that completely changes things, I think I might buy Pokemon Platinum second hand….were it not for the prices going up.
I kinda wonder what would be the breaking point for the casual audience regarding the quality of the main series.

Check out Rogues Gallery Transplant: The Game
Youtuber Lumiose Trainer Zac put out a video where he calculated all of Ash's (pre-Journeys) Pokemon's win/loss/draw records in official battles, using certain rules that seemed quite fair to me.
Some interesting notes:
