After 8 generations, I'm gonna ask the most loaded of loaded questions:
Which type do you think is the strongest overall?
I'm gonna say water. Largest number of type combos I believe, which means that, beyond their Ground / Rock /Fire coverage, they can slap around a lot of types under the right circumstances, and lots of hard hitting attacks of both special and physical variety (though I may be wrong on that).
So Misty was right all along.
And now I wait for your replies proving me wrong, because the whole point is discussion.

Steel and Fairy. Water is solid tho. Dragon gets points for consistently powerful 'mons (and neat resists).

I think a better question would be the strongest type combo. There's Ground/Water, Poison/Dark, Dragon/Steel, Ghost/Dark, and Fairy/Psychic, just to name a few.

surprisingly Dark/Ghost isnt that good anymore.
despite having three immunities, it has one mildly useful resistance and is weak to the omnipresent Fairy type

I'd say steel is probably the best single type at moment. Definitely the best defensively, and currently okay offensively

If you guys could have any six Pokémon in the real world, but only those six, ever, which would you pick? They can evolve if you want, and special conditions for evolution such as trading or stones can be ignored. For me? Fennekin, Zorua, Galarian Ponyta, Eevee, Ralts, and Alolan Vulpix. I'd evolve them all, of course.

Really, four fox Pokemon? The wording of the question leads me to assume you would take responsibility for breeding them, and if other people don't like this Pokemon, tough luck, so you have to cast as wide a net as possible to please as many people.
