New Pokemon, changing/adding types.
The sole reason I havent played Pokemon Prism is because they decided to change some pokemon types and added a few of their own.

I don’t play romhacks, though I have nothing against them, but if I did, I’d draw the line at any of them that seem to think a ton of Forced Level-Grinding counts as difficulty.
SoundCloudI used to dislike new Pokemon at first, but I figured as long as they weren't that numerous like in Brown and Prism I wouldn't mind it. My number one issue by far though, is terrible ideas for difficulty. My go to example for everything you shouldn't do to make your ronhack challenging is Pokémon Dark Rising. The gold standard for proper challenge on the otherhand, without a doubt goes to Drayano 60.
changing evolutionary lines is one. That game where they made maractus a cacnea evolution comes to mind.
I wouldn't be a fan of that either.
The whole thing as a concept is on my 'meaning to get round to' list but hypothetically I guess;
Possibly adding types? Mostly because the official games are fairly reluctant to do so. New pokemon is very much dependent on how much effort was put into them. Changing evolution lines is probably out unless it's one of those very heavy randomisers.
Extremely steep level curves for Artificial Difficulty probably.
Secret SignatureOh yeah, shifting evolutions. I guess the tl;dr version is if the romhank has intense fanwank it's a massive turnoff.
Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life. Here are some quotes:
So far Gear Project has resulted in Harmo Knight, Pocket Card Jockey, Tembo the Badass Elephant and Giga Wrecker, all of which released after 2012. The developer is also working on Town, a Nintendo Switch RPG due out in 2019.
“There are two different production teams here, simply named Production Team 1 and Production Team 2,” Onoue explained. “Team 1 is fully dedicated to Gear Project, while Team 2 is for the Pokémon operation.”
“What that means is that Game Freak as a company is prioritizing Gear Project, which is production team number one, more than Pokémon in general. We are always trying to create something that is equally exciting, or more exciting than Pokémon.
“There is a lot of back-and-forth between Team 1 and Team 2,” he added. “One of the interesting things is that Team 2, which is dedicated to Pokémon, only knows about specific platforms.
“So with Team 2, engineers can learn about other platforms that they might not have touched before. By mixing up the teams we are able to create this interesting synergy.”
“When you’re a programmer working on Pokémon, you’re one of many programmers. However, as a director on Giga Wrecker the experience opened my eyes to the other aspects of game creation, all the way up to users playing the game,” Onoue added.
“It’s really difficult to expect a programmer to have that kind of perspective, but as director I learned how to make a game more appealing and accessible to players, plus aspects of marketing as well.
“Gear Project has helped me become more creative. I’ve now seen the whole process of creation all the way to marketing and selling the game to players.
“I can now bring that know how back to the Pokémon team and try to create something different for Pokémon. It’s a good synergy between Gear Project and Pokémon creation.”
One reason the previously handheld-only developer is suddenly able to output three console-quality releases in a year is down to its newly formed R&D division, Onoue explained.
“R&D is a newly founded division which is creating the basic library, which used to be created every single time we made a project. That helps the efficiency of our production for sure.
“Also, we are looking at what’s going on in the future, from a technical perspective, and that’s something else that we’ve never had before. I think that R&D division will certainly contribute to the future of Game Freak.”

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."The success of pokemon means they can try new projects, good luck to them
New theme music also a boxTL;DW: It has some great ideas, but they never go any where and the game itself is exhausting, and he hopes Gale of Darkness is better.
And considering his timing since Hey You! Pikachu and this review, alongside the fact he's currently at Momocon and with E3 coming up, I don't expect the Gale of Darkness review up until after E3.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."
What a weird thing to tell people while your hotly anticipated multi-million selling upcoming game the public knows nothing about is in the wings.
Even if it's true, you'd think their PR would maybe tell them not to say they're prioritizing other games besides Pokemon?
But than Masuda kept putting his foot in his mouth during the lead up to Let's Go and that sold 9 million copies for free, so I guess it doesn't matter.
Just need a question:
Will we have a way to get our Pokémon to transfer from the 3DS to the Switch or will we have to start over like with Gen 3?
Pokemon Bank. There'll likely be an announcement sometime before launch with the app being downloadable sometime around the end of the year after launch.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."How will the two systems be able to link to each other, though?
They don't have to. Load up the 3DS Bank app and drop Pokemon into it, then load up the Switch Bank app and withdraw them.
A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.Yeah, that's most likely how they'll do it. No reason not to. If that's the case, I assume existing subscriptions on the 3DS version would cover the Switch version as well?
Probably. If we're really lucky a Bank subscription will be bundled with Switch Online.
A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.Hopefully, you won't need a Switch online subscription to use Bank.
since it's related to their online services and given how the pokemon game is on switch, you probably do
New theme music also a boxWith GF announcing that Pokemon's been put on the B-Team, I get the feeling that the company has been "We really want to create other games but the demand for this one franchise is so great that we can't risk not making annual/bi-annual games for it" and it kinda explains why the 3DS-era output has been so scattershot, to say the least.
I wonder if GF should just do like EA did with Maxis and The Sims franchise and form a specific studio dedicated to just handling the Pokemon franchise using a mix of employees from GF, Nintendo EAD and maybe another in-house studio like Monolithsoft that they rotate outside of a handful of key employees to prevent the series from being as tired as GF seems to be of having to make them at this point in time.
Or at the very least, have games come out at maybe a more gradual pace than one instalment every one or sometimes two years so you can focus on other projects inbetween the big Pokemon titles. Zelda and Mario only get one or maybe two really big instalments per console. I don't think Pokemon would hurt from having a slower release schedule.

I'm having to learn to pay the priceI got poipole and necrozma, both somehow got impish nature. How annoying.
You're killin me game. Well off to the E4! Team is salamence, tyrantrum, goodra, kommo-o, exeggutor and turtonator. A bit slow but I think we stand a good chance, though hau admittedly has me worried. Fairies have been an issue all game and unlike with previous ones primarina kinda cockblocks turtonator's offense.

Trying to figure out how to use emulators.
I'm not even against it, I'm just incredibly inexperienced with them.
