O.K, let's do a marital tally: Mat's married, Pat just got engaged, Woolie's engaged.
I think Liam still has a girlfriend?

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.Woolie got married though.
They still haven't officially tied the knot, though Woolie's been to other people's weddings (not that people haven't made jokes about him being the guest of honor).
Woolie's finally playing Batman: Arkham Asylum. He never played it and...never wanted to? My memory's fuzzy on that.
I remember this being a pretty fun stealth/action game.
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.Having replayed it using the remaster myself, aside from Batman's combat and stealth options the game is still great to this day.
Also the fact Woolie hadn't played any of the Arkham games was the setup to a classic bit from the old podcast.
Woolie has his games that he likes. They're on the whole a fairly narrow slice of the pie that is the entire medium of gaming. And as such, he's quite out of the loop on a lot of "mainstream" video games, and I'm glad he's been using his solo channel to discover quite a bit of them for the first time.
"...in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach."Watching Woolie and Reggie play Disco Elysium is amazingly painful.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. How's Woolie screwing things up this time?
It's mostly them commenting on the social commentary, especially the racism from The Yellow Peril Coffee Mug and Moterhead. Nothing really groan worthy though, since you can get through Disco Elysuim with any build.
So, they're not playing any worse then average?

Oh, I'm sure they'll find a way.
Edit: I want to make it clear, I do not mind how they normally play. I like listening to them joke around and shoot the shit, that's what I watch them for.

@Mullon, wait, what, exactly, do you find "painful" about their playthrough? Like, is it the commentary, is it that they're commenting awfully or commenting on awful things or commenting "too much" on awful things?

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position. It's them making bad choices for laughs and then squirming through the consequences.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. So not playing badly but just picking the worst options to see how it plays out?
How bad can these options get?
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.A man asks the protagonist to pay his bill. The choice to "slip away quietly" is given. I assume if you roll a success, you do slip away quietly. If you fail, you run away, jump in the air, spin around, flip the man two middle fingers, then you smash into an old lady in a wheelchair.
That's fine though. Disco Elysium is one of those role playing games where failing can still lead to something fun or interesting to see. Pat took the same check in his let's play and had the intended hilarious reaction to it.
If you succeed, you just don't crash into the wheelchair. Otherwise it's the same.
Failing is actually the better option.
I can understand the annoyance with people just failing things for yucks but from what I’ve seen of the writing, it sounds like one of those games where failures can be kinda hilarious to watch as well. It doesn’t sound like “two episodes spent fighting the same boss”.
Do David Cage and Telltale games have hilarious failure states like that?

Congrats to them! Anyway, Woolie and his girlfriend have been engaged for several years now too if I remember. It's not that weird to hold off on the wedding until a more comfortable time. It's largely a pledge of commitment.
