Lots of exposition, and Minmax realizes he's not cut out to be a god.
This comic keeps finding new and creative traumas to deliver to its characters, doesn't it?

I actually liked this one. Between the crappy world building, this comic has some great characterization.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.
It also kind of touches on some of the ideas in Bruce Almighty that immense power without immense knowledge/comprehension goes badly. There's a reason why most gods are either omniscient and omnipotent (and generally inhuman and incomprehensible) or they're a relatively normal person with godly powers, but only within a limit domain. And yes, I know that there are probably a ton of other good examples than a silly Jim Carrey film. It was the first thing that came to mind, with him learning all of the side effects of him diving in and "fixing" things with his godly powers.

Romance is in the air! If it weren't for the visible ceiling in one panel I'd have thought they were out of the dungeon, but in retrospect that's clearly ridiculous.
Like I said a few pages back, I give it 5 years (at least) before they meet up with Dies Horribly.

In almost other series, I’d be happy for them being adorable and such. In this series, though, I’m just waiting to see what horrible, potentially literally nightmarish thing will inevitably befall their love before it ever had a chance.

This "touching something that makes him happy makes him turn back" is prime setup for that to happen with Ears at some point.
The crystal is quite pretty, looking forward to seeing his true form.

Heh, that punchline made me laugh. Still it'll be great for Minmax and Forgath to meet up again... Now we just have to get to Dies Horribly. Who wants to bet? 5 years, 10, 15?
