This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

Ok. I'll put in some tropes I want in some page after going through some grammar help. So can I ask to edit again?

~Troperweatherly23: Even better would be if you report it on Ask The Tropers. With the understanding that you now know the procedures and that you don't write edit reasons like these again, I'll lift the suspension.
~jasonbres: Well, the problem is that there are in fact a number of problems with your editing that you keep getting warnings about:
- indentation 5
- not recent 1
- this troper 1
- ignored comment 1
- zero context 3
- grammar 1
- word cruft 1
- complaining 1
Also, it seems like you sometimes misuse tropes to complain about things ([1] [2]) and improperly format links to tropes ([3][4]). I think you need to thoroughly read through the Administrivia pages.

I'm sorry. I've had time to think and I'll reword my query. I'm sorry. I was unaware that there were rules regarding the kinds of edits I did. In hindsight, I probably should've kept an eye on those edits I made and read the comments as to why they were undone. In the future, I will keep those rules in mind when editing. I promise. I have a very good track record on The Other Wiki and was trying to add some levity to this site to differentiate it from that, but I guess it backfired on me. So can I please have my suspension lifted with all that in mind?

I just want to edit again just to add something or correct things like grammar and etc., and could you decide to lift my suspension?
Hi there, TV Tropes, I have enjoyed your site for years and am excited to have an account. So, of course, the first thing I do is mistake the "launch trope" button at the bottom of the "Time Period Twist" draft page for a way to upvote a launch pad that I like and accidentally launch someone else's draft without their permission. 
My sincerest apologies to the author of the launch pad, and I will try to read more carefully in the future before I press things. May I please be unsuspended?
It appears I was suspended editing anything. I know I've made mistakes for this to happen and I went too far for one of them. Is there anyway I can overturn this?

I see your point. I got way too cocky with my edits and my consequences were entirely justified. I apologize for my arrogance and my ignorant posts. I love this site. I've been here since 2009 and it's informed my views on media and even real life. I've tried to use my editing to add legitimate information that I felt would contribute to the pages but, obviously, on numerous occasions, I went too far and I make no excuses for them.
If there is any way I can get a second chance and have my editing privileges restored, I will use them responsibly or I'll accept a permanent banning if I go back on my statement. Thank you for letting me know what I did wrong.

I also had a response, which I clarified I understood why my privileges were suspended again, said I'd apologize, which I do, & I'd take more care with edits in the future. In fact, there are pages I've recently read over that I'd like to correct some things on that aren't right pertaining to things just like why mine were taken away. Genuinely, I'm sorry for the latest mistakes & I'd like the opportunity to show that I've taken the words to heart. And, if I offended anyone on the admin team with how I've put things, as I know I can be blunt in text, that I apologize for as well. If I screw up again, then I'd certainly understand the cold shoulder treatment.

Hello, I have realized my mistakes with my poor grammar (something I'm currently working on fixing when typing to be more coherent and precise), my countless edit warring that was mostly unnecessary, and only ONE time I made a rude edit by mistake. I don't expect to be brought back because of breaking two of those rules I wasn't being tactful about. But I'd like to get permission to be able to edit again by knowing when to stop editing too much, not continue with those edit wars I made unnecessarily, and most likely, leave everything to the professionals (something I mean saying when I shared that with other tropers) since I was better off giving video examples to these tropes aside from only just editing tropes in general.

ST Fan is the only one here that has a problem with the edit for Roman Legion-Hare. It affected none of the content. You can check any other Looney Tunes cartoon page (indeed, any page at all committed to an animated short); Roman Legion-Hare is the only page where the title is not shown in boldface.
My posting privileges have been suspended over a petty matter of optics and an issue no one else on the site has ever had a complaint about.
I wish to have my privileges restored. If I am to have them suspended, the reason needs to be much, much better than what just happened.
