This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

So, Nate's tale of persecution at the hands of the TV Tropes moderation team is legendary in the world, now? This famous fifteen year old is recruiting people to come here and try to get articles that he has vandalized unlocked so he can vandalize them again? I'm afraid that I remain dubious. I think that it's far more likely that Nate-san has figured out open proxies than that some person who professes not to be him (when we didn't accuse him of it) comes on and asks for Rip Haywire to be unlocked without saying why.

Hmmmm..."protecting" would be an odd choice of words for his actions, considering that his edits to that page consisted, for the most part, of violations of Example Indentation; adding a Trivia trope to the page, which is never kosher; and removing proper punctuation and title formatting. Methinks that counts more as vandalism than anything, wouldn't you say?

I have apologized for any misunderstanding.
I would like to edit again, if I may.
The only reason why I did replaced some of the Japanese and English voice actors for Sengoku Basara in case Gakuen Basara ever became an anime was because they sound much better, and plus some of the English voice actors (Travis Willingham, Laura Bailey, and Troy Baker) hardly work for Funimation anymore. If you ask me, Micah Solusod would be a way better Yukimura.
So you're substituting fact for your personal opinion then. That's not going to fly.

@R.G. and CartoonFanASDF: Under our standard administrative policy, helping someone evade a ban by posting or editing on their behalf is subject to being permanently banned yourself. Given the hassle that Nate has made for us and the impossibility of knowing if you're telling the truth, I am exercising zero tolerance in this case. Spread the word among his little fanclub.

Every time I try to edit under my own handle (R.G.), it somehow switches to RG, then I have to switch back. The whole thing is beyond my control. Believe me, this is NOT a second handle. I would LOVE it if I could edit under MY handle, which is R.G.
If anyone can offer any solutions, I would like to know.

Could be a cookies issue. We've had trouble in the past with people editing who have punctuation in their handles, but that's supposed to have been fixed. Try deleting your tvtropes.org cookies and logging in again.
I'll remove your suspension on condition that you steer clear of Nate and anything he is involved with, with respect to TVT at least. There will be no tolerance for a repeat of this, and anyone else pulling the same shenanigans will not get a second chance.

All right, looking back i´ve been responsible of that. Is there any chance this could be reversed in the future? I can understand maybe a 2-3 week suspension, but if i can avoid making this happen again in the future, could i get my privilege back at some point?

Checking back at my edits, I think it was the Wreck-It Ralph edit that got me suspended. The %%s I removed, I thought they had no longer a reason for them to be there, since I thought I gave them a good context.
I don't think this warranted a suspension, a warning via PM would have been just fine.
Can my suspension be removed, please!
