I had a conniption when I was fighting Smorg and discovered he had one more phase after the one I kept dying on.
I think I beat him by just swinging my sword randomly and sometimes moving the blocks.

Just wanted to share this old story starring Ganondorf fighting the three Goddesses.
This was pre Skyward Sword, so Demise is never brought up and Ganondorf still has his old motives.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Whoops, not Smorg, Smog. I kept dying on phase 3 and was horrified to see there was a phase 4.

The Protomen enhanced my life.Too much Thousand year Door?
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Nah, I just forgot the dude's name. XD I also had a ton of trouble with Onox's dragon form.
The Protomen enhanced my life. You know, I just had a thought:
Some people thought the reveal of the Downfall timeline was kinda lame (though I don't know how pervasive that opinion is, or even if it is still pervasive anymore), but I suddenly looked at the history of the Zelda franchise and realized it makes far more sense than I thought.
How many Goddesses are there?
How many Spiritual Stones / Orbs / Medallions does Link often need to collect?
How many pieces of the Triforce are there?
Hell the history of the entire franchise is written by the battle between three beings: a hero, a princess / Goddess, and a demon. Three is a very important number in the Legend of Zelda. It makes total sense for there to be three timelines.
Also, I had a recent WMG about both the downfall timeline and Zelda's revealing herself in Ocarina:
Zelda revealed herself to Link much earlier in the Downfall timeline than in the Adult timeline.
She decided to appear to Link right away, like right after he woke up (so the part when she appears as Sheik in the game, she'd be there as Zelda) in order to keep him informed, but that backfired. She assumed Ganon wouldn't notice, but he did, and captured her just like in the main game, forcing Link to go after her right away, but since Link hadn't done any level grinding via defeating Temple bosses and awakening sages, he was way too weak to win. Zelda was however, able to get her hands on the Ocarina of Time and used it to send herself back to a little before the moment when Link first woke up, this time opting to meet him as Sheik.
She knew she'd be captured the moment she met with him, but realized that it wouldn't matter because by the time that happened, Link would have been empowered by the Sages, and thus be able to match Ganondorf. Her only miscalculation was that Ganon managed to continually keep her from assisting Link earlier (locking her in the crystal, and then sealing her out of the battle with that ring of fire, but once all those obstacles were out of the way....sealed Ganon in a sacred realm.
One Strip! One Strip!I personally prefer the idea that Ganon won in the Downfall timeline because Link wasn't able to get the Master Sword in time during the final battle.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. That's also valid. I admit it even makes the most sense of all the theories of how he lost.
One Strip! One Strip! The Master Sword certainly has a connection to time after all and would be a branch of fate in this case.
Plus this scenario gives a plausible way for Ganon to be sealed away despite killing Link and possibly Zelda, the sages were still there, and could have sealed Ganon away but he still has the entire triforce.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. My theory about how he died in the downfall timeline was my single death in a recent OOT run: My friends had the controller and didn't know where the R button was so he died to a Deku Scrub.
The Protomen enhanced my life.I think it would kinda make sense for Link to die early on though, due to lack of experience, only 3 hearts, etc.
The Protomen enhanced my life.In the Downfall timeline, don't the Sages defeat Ganon anyway, and then the timeline goes on to include many of the more optimistic games? That's certainly interesting.
That leads to ALTTP, ALBW, the Oracle games, Link's Awakening, Tri Force Heroes, and the two NES games to end the timeline. Apparently all timelines lead to BOTW.

The Protomen enhanced my life.So wait. Then that video I posted where Nintendo Black Crisis theorized that BOTW was the inevitable conclusion of all timelines was right?
Huh. That dude should pat himself on the back.
Though we still don't know how it happens. Either they all reach that path naturally, but remain separate, or it's the timeline merge theory many of us had. I suspect Nintendo will remain vague on it.
One Strip! One Strip!I want a Zelda game set in the reunification of the three timelines. Imagine there's some sort of convergence going on, and in the end, the three timelines weave back into one, which eventually leads into BOTW.
Edited by MileRun on Jun 30th 2020 at 12:29:11 PM
Maybe the big war with Ganon in the background of BOTW was that reunification.
It's not like anyone from that time is alive in the time of BOTW. It's 10,000 years before Link's 100 year sleep.
They only know that Link and Zelda fought against Calamity Ganon together, and that the Divine Beasts were built to help them by the Sheikah and piloted by someone from one of the different races.
But the Gerudo are MIA in the Adult timeline, and the Zora became the Rito. There are no Rito in the Defeat or child timelines, and the Zora have gone feral and split into their peaceful ocean and violent river incarnation, and the Gorons....are the only race who exist in all three timelines...but then again, they've been around since the time of the Goddess, so that makes sense.
One Strip! One Strip!Another Oracle question - has the link between the eponymous ladies and their namesake goddesses ever been firmly established?
All of these various cosmic powers colliding broke the timeline it seems.
Disgusted, but not surprisedI've been bored lately, my new hobby is accusing fictional monsters of being vampires.
So consider, Ganon:
- Shapeshifts into an animal.
- Is empowered at night and by the blood moon.
- Destroyed by silver arrows.
- Comes back from the dead constantly, including one instance where he can be revived via blood poured on his ashes.
Better call in the Belmonts.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. Now that I actually thank about it, they’ve never revealed Link’s last name.
Link Belmont doesn’t sound too bad.
You say I am loved, when I don’t feel a thing. You say I am strong, when I think I am weak. You say I am held, when I am falling short.
I have mixed feelings about the Oracle games. I played Ages a lot when I was younger, and I got it on 3DS VC, but I felt like I was always running into a wall and having to look up what to do on Gamefaqs.
