The only large underground/indoor area in Breath of the Wild was Hyrule Castle. Hyrule Castle happens to be my favourite area in Breath of the Wild, so I would totally be down for them flipping the emphasis around and filling the sequel with caves. (Admittedly part of the reason Hyrule Castle sticks out is because it is unique, but it's also just plain good.)
There were a few small caverns in Breath of the Wild, but nothing like a full dungeon.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! The biggest interiors I can think of were both jam-packed with Guardians too.
I'd love to be able to FULLY explore a non monster infested Hyrule Castle.
You don't often get a chance to do that since it's the final boss level. And even if you do see it before the above happens, it can be for a short time, or very limited.
As I said once before, the only time this didn't happen (becoming the final level) was in Spirit Tracks.
One Strip! One Strip! At the end of the trailer what looks like a castle seems to be rising up from under the earth so that will probably shift the playable landscape. Wouldn't be surprised if multiple things like that do so around the map.
They're definitely going to need to heavily alter the map or have you end up somewhere else somehow.
I missed the part where that's my problem.Maybe kkep the hyrule map the same but with various new features and locations, but add a Dark World map that is the same size as Hyrule but vastly different?
GOH! JII! RAH!Plus maybe the locals have reclaimed and rebuilt a few locations.
Every direct sequel in the series except Zelda II has been set outside of Hyrule, probably to avoid making the overworlds similar (A Link Between Worlds was the odd man out in deliberately recreating the A Link to the Past overworld). With the overworld being even more important in Breath of the Wild than most other Zelda games, they definitely need to make a new one for the sequel. So either Hyrule is going to have some massive shift or Link and Zelda will wind up outside of Hyrule (or there's a secret unseen part of Hyrule).
If it is set outside of Hyrule I wonder if any more characters besides Link and Zelda will be returning.
Dampé apparently replaces the photograph mouse...
I kind of feel like trailer frames Zelda as the main character, but I'm not sure if that is some subconscious wishful thinking(I don't particularly care for Zelda being playable, I'd think it'd be cooler if there was new female character that is playable instead, but I certainly wouldn't mind Zelda being playable so it would be cool) or if its just because she has speaking role unlike Link
You know, if they did give Zelda costumes of her own (via being playable) this would finally be my chance to see an older realistic Zelda wearing the Toon Zelda dress.
Or maybe she'll have a Tetra costume. People love Tetra.
One Strip! One Strip!Link gets the weird arm thing and Zelda appears to be falling and Link goes to grab her with his cursed hand. I'm wondering if this is what will put her out of commission tbh
I really hope not...
I don't want to be cynical, because lord knows I've been way too cynical these past few years.
That being said, I don't want to get my hopes up for something that I honestly think will never happen (nor will there ever be a good reason for it beyond because we don't want to).
So I'm just gonna sit with no expectations on the playable Zelda front. It's likely for the best.
One Strip! One Strip!I mean, the arm could always put Link out of commission putting Zelda in the role of savior but I feel like that's a long shot.
Though they did think of giving Zelda a second quest mode way back in Skyward Sword so the idea of playing as her is there.
Given the huge backlash they got for Zelda not being playable in BOTW and that they acknowledged said backlash and said they'd do better next time, I'd be shocked if Zelda wasn't playable.
> huge backlash
You mean their most critically and commercially successful game to date?
It can be critically and commercially successful and they can still acknowledge the criticism its not like those are mutually exclusive.
While the idea of Zelda being playable in a mainline Zelda game sounds cool I'm extremely skeptical of it ever really happening.
Random observation, in almost every shot of Ganoncorpse he's on his knees with his head thrown back as if he is screaming, but in one of the close up shots he's in a sitting position instead. Maybe that one shot actually takes place after he reanimates?
Wait a second. That's the pose he died in in Wind Waker, isn't it?
I... sincerely don't know if there's anything to that observation, but it might be something, right?
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."Lycropath: Criticism =/= “huge backlash”
He died on his feet in Wind Waker.
With a sword in his head and being turned to stone
New theme music also a box
What can I say? I love dress-up simulators in my games.
GOH! JII! RAH!
