I always just name my charecter "link" just because it's weird having someone call him anything different. Hell. For any game that allows you to name your file/main charecter i just name it it's cannon name. If the mc dosen't have one I just call it the name of a protagonist from said series, for an example I name every unnamed smt/persona protag "joker" and I call every playeble black mage in a final fantasy game "vivi". Im weird like that.
you make me want to do terrible things to you~I remember one time I did a playthrough of Ocarina of Time where I named Link Ganon to maximize confusion. It also meant there were about six characters with the name Ganon. There was Link, Ganondorf, that Goron kid named after you, the Shadow Link from the Water Temple, Phantom Ganon and then Ganon the final boss. It also makes Zelda look crazy. "Oh Ganon, you must help me defeat Ganon!"

I just realized out of all 18 cannon zelda games (no spinoffs, ports, or remakes) ive only played 8/18. I haven't played any of the portable games, skyward sword, or breath of the wild. I have played all the home console games up to twilight princess (including four swords on gamecube)
you make me want to do terrible things to you~There are 19 canon games.
That probably isn't that uncommon. I haven't really played any of the older games (other than the anniversary version of Four Swords, and I guess Oo T and MM if you count those but they're 3d so probs not), never had the motion plus for Skyward Sword and don't want to play Bot W until I get a Switch.
im not really counting four swords on gba because I have no friends or 2 gbas.
you make me want to do terrible things to you~It was on 3DS as a single player experience for a while in 2011. That’s how I played it.
Only ones I haven’t played are Four Swords Adventures, Tri Force Heroes, and Breath of the Wild. And I’m playing the latter two once I reach them in my play through of the whole series (minus FSA, for logistical reasons). I’m almost done Spirit Tracks right now.
> I’m almost done Spirit Tracks right now.
Ohhh, what did you think of it?
New theme music also a boxI mean, I played it in 2010 too. :P
I’ve been working my way back through the series for years now. I think since shortly after A Link Between Worlds came out.
Of the 19 canon Zelda games I've played 13.5 out of 19.
The one's I'm missing being Zelda 1 and 2, Oracle of Ages, Triforce Heroes, Four Swords Adventures and Four Swords (That's the half.)
"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobI've played all but Four Swords, Four Swords Adventures, Spirit Tracks, A Link Between Worlds, and Tri Force Heroes. And three of those are basically locked off to me without going multiplayer, so I'd say I've done pretty well with the series.
you can still play adventures and heros by yourself, not as fun though.
you make me want to do terrible things to you~To be fair, I've seen others play through those games on Youtube, so I've still experienced them in a way.
Excluding Hyrule Warriors as a spin-off, I've only played Wind Waker, Spirit Tracks, Skyward Sword, the NES original, Twilight Princess, and Breath of the Wild. In that order. I'm a latecomer to the franchise.
Looking forward to LA remake though. I had just been thinking about trying to get it on the 3DS Virtual Console.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!...How have you still not gotten around to Ocarina of Time?
Shit, right, I played OOT on the 3DS.
It didn't leave as much of an impression on me as a game of its stature should have. Probably would have enjoyed it more just playing the N64 original, I don't care much for 3D adventures on handhelds.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Personal preference aside, Oo T on 3DS is strictly a better game. It runs at a higher framerate, it makes the Water Temple less tedious since you don't have to keep going into your inventory over and over to equip the Iron Boots, on top of just having better looking character models.
I know.
It's purely a matter of personal preference.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! This goes back to personal preference, but I appreciate being able to fine-tune aiming using the 3DS motion controls.
OoT 3D doesn't have all the cool glitches that let you do stupid or useful stuff. It has a fair number of them, but not all of them.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?TBF unless you're a speedrunner you probably don't care about that.
I've played every Zelda game except Tri-Force Heroes and Link Between Worlds. I've beaten most of them, too.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I think I've played every Zelda game except Four Swords and Four Swords Adventures, but I've only beaten Altt P, Majora's Mask, Minish Cap, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess and Link Between Worlds.
Speaking of Zelda games I haven't beaten, I've been watching Chuggaaconroy play Phantom Hourglass which I forget exists most of the time. He seems to be aware of the relative obscurity of the game nowadays and is trying to show it off; he opines that the game is one of high highs and low lows. Honestly though, watching it just makes me think it was right to be forgotten. It has some nice uses of the DS's features but it's just so bland and uninteresting. Its high points to me are pretty inconsequential in the face of that. Even from the short time I spent with Spirit Tracks that was a far more memorable and enjoyable game.
