I posit that Donkey Kong Country 2, Ocarina of Time, and Super Mario Galaxy are indeed perfect games.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?There's no such thing as a perfect piece of media, really, mostly because everyone has different standards and preferences and ideas of what flaws are to them.
Like for Oo T alone I can think of the menu lag and constant iron boots usage making the water temple overly tedious.
There's nothing I don't like about the three games I mentioned (except for little things that don't put a dent in my enjoyment), so they're perfect to me personally.
Edited for much-needed clarity.

Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?I'd argue that Ocarina of Time 3D is about as close to perfect as one can get when it comes to video games.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I haven't played Galaxy (either one) in a while but they're certainly up there. SMG 1 is up there with Pokemon Platinum and Mario Kart DS on my "nostalgic childhood games" list. (I played my first Zelda-OOT 3 D-a little bit after that period).
Anyway, I think my only serious marks against BOTW are the lack of traditional dungeons (the Divine Beasts are great for what they are, but they're so...short. Clearly the team had a handle on clever dungeon design, so seeing more and longer dungeons would've been fantastic) and a bit of weapon durability (nice in concept, but would've been better if everything's durability got doubled). The other issues are mostly really tiny design nitpicks. It's basically what my dream Zelda would've looked like if you asked me back in 2013 when it was first announced, minus the dungeons. It's pretty fantastic.
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonYou just destroyed me by referring to Mario Galaxy as a "nostalgic childhood game."
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?It'll be 10 years old this year.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I know, but I was getting ready to graduate high school when I first played it. To me, Super Mario Bros. 3 is the nostalgic childhood Mario.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Mine is Sunshine. I played 64 when I was even younger but I don't think I really played it all that much.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I mean, I'm still technically a child, but still.
That thing I remember the most about that game is its incredible soundtrack. It's still my favorite OST to any game ever and will most likely stay that way. I think each Zelda (yes, even BOTW, I could go on for hours about BOTW's soundtrack) has it's own strengths too.
My only complaint with BOTW's soundtrack is that I wish there were a few more "Field" themes. The one we do have is nice but it plays basically everywhere and it's tiring
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonThe thing about Zelda music is that I consider myself a fan of it, but each game only has a small handful of themes I like. And sometimes the themes I like are so atmospheric that they barely count as music, like the Forest Temple theme from Ocarina.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Same I guess. Really, when talking about the BOTW soundtrack it's those pieces I think of, and my two favorite music tracks are exactly those (Sheikah Tower, Mountain)
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonOk. I'm beginning to truly think I'm the only one who doesn't hate Skyward Sword. I know that's a huge exaggeration, but it feels like EVERYONE seems to hate it sometimes. I must have been doing something wrong, because I liked the game a lot.
One Strip! One Strip! You'e not alone, I like it a lot too. Heck it's in my top five Zelda games.
This song needs more love.I struggled with Skyward Swords controls, up until I was halfway through the second dungeon, then things just clicked. So I understand where people are coming from when they cite the controls as an issue.
I like Skyward Sword.
That video bounces back and forth between being really annoying and being kinda funny. It also gets a few things wrong.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!its satire according to them
New theme music also a boxI like Skyward Sword.
Plenty of people do.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I like Skyward Sword too.
I replayed it a while back and thought it was a solid entry into the series.
The frequent tutorials were a bit grating on replay, but I felt the fact I knew what to do in the sky balanced that out quiet a lot, since I saved time in not exploring that until I had already activated Goddess Cubes.
Although due to the fact I've lacked a proper gaming set up (as in comfy couch and TV) for the last few years I do appreciate more some peoples complaints about motion controls.
It's never impossible, but the need to set up the sensor bar and sit in a position whereby you can use the controller correctly can be frankly very irritating if you need to switch TV / rooms semi-often.

"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobI liked Spirit Tracks.
Though everything that wasn't part of the game's main story was pretty bad. All those bland escort missions, and the rabbits...

Found it, thanks
