Final Fantasy general

Because Kinkajou told me to.

So yeah, anything about Final Fantasy! I guess this would make a good starting point: Which are your favorite games in the series and why?

My two all-time favorites are tied between Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy IX. They're both very fun games that don't take themselves too seriously while still being legitimately emotional. On top of that, Zidane is my favorite Final Fantasy lead in the entire series. He's light-hearted, fun, and a generally nice guy to be around. FFV also has the advantage of having one of, if not the best, Job System in an FF game. Both FFV and FFIX make characters customizable while keeping them all unique in their own way. I'm also very fond of Final Fantasy I; it hasn't aged well, but it's classic, and like FFV, I played it tons as a kid.

I assume we'll drift around to various other FF-related discussions as the topic grows, right?

I just think it's wrong that a (girly) man's outfit is more Stripperiffic than all the womens!

Hey, could be worse; as the page states, the most Stripperiffic outfits in A2 aren't only worn by males they're worn by the freaking Seeq.

Stripperiffic Kuja? Someone's been reading my fanfic...

I'm quite sure that whatever you're thinking due to the above comment is wrong. He's just playing the princess in a moogle run play! Seriously!

You don't need fnafic to make Kuja stripperiffic. He already is in canon.

My work is done.

@Kuro Fox: As you can tell by the rope and the sprite (which is yellow for some damn reason) he's also wearing the same metal loincloth.

@Mr Pastry: I do as well, not the least of which is for these kinds of threads.

Loincloth? Looks more like the fat pig is prancing around in just a jockstrap!

He also gets a +50 to intimidate since no one dares to look at him in fear of their retinal scanners commiting suicide!

You know, if the Seeq would be drawn more like a stylized cartoon animal, with Anime Anatomy, it probobly wouldn't bother me. Kind of like this guy.

Strange how basicly the same thing plus groin guard adds a big squick factor.

The in-game Seeq tend to be more pleasant about covering their lower bodies.

Metal cup is still there though.

I don't really like the FFXII versions of the Ivalice Races

But I adore the tactics version of them. So cute~

I prefer the XII versions of Moogles, and Bangaa.

The A2 versions for Viera.

I can go either way for Humes, Seeq, or Nu Mou.

A2 sort of miffed me for the lack of Garif(especially since the Gria classes would have fit them perfectly), and they could have use Aegyl if they wanted flying units.

[up]The Garif faced the problem of a huge case of Gameplay and Story Segregation (they're supposed to hate manufactured goods, but everyone needs equipment to learn abilities), while the Aegyl's first appearance (April 2007) happened when A2 was likely well into development (October 2007).

EDIT: I prefer the A2 Viera, Seeq, and Moogles, but like the A2 and XII versions of the rest about equally (even if the Nu Mou look really, really different).
