In video games, there's at least ONE person in one of your games that's a little too unsympathetic and unlikeable to live any longer, and/or sometimes they're treated as one of the good guys. Sometimes, the author kills said character, most of the time to make up a supposed Tear Jerker for the player(or to plant a Take That, Scrappy! to appease them). However, the player has the exact opposite reaction.

What character had this reaction, and name the reasons why.

I'll probably get shouted at, but I was glad to be rid of the wet blanket members of AVALANCHE in FF 7. They spent more time whining about Cloud, sucking up to Cloud, trying to lick Cloud's boots, and generally just getting in the way ON THE FLASHING ALARM TRAIN WHEN I'M TRYING TO RUN. I was pretty glad when they got smashed into the dust under the plate. Also a good marker in the story when it goes from "run around being pretty ineffective" to "let's actually accomplish something. Something violent."

Well, it wasn't a death, but I found myself rejoicing much in Sonic Unleashed every time I finished up the night stages since I didn't have to play as the friggin werehog any more.

I friggin' danced around the room when Adam from Metroid Other M preformed his Stupid Sacrifice. I'm surprised anyone would consider that a Tear Jerker! I thought the VILLAIN'S death was sadder than that asshole's demise, he saw it coming a mile away.

The death of Alice and Decus in Tales Of Symphonia 2. Good lord those two were annoying. It was like being followed around by Elmyra the whole game, and the player is supposed to be sorry they're gone?

But somehow,

THAT WAS A TEARJERKER?!?

Apparently, some people do consider that a Tear Jerker, although I'd have to question, why would you feel sympathetic for a raging Jerkass who's actions towards Samus ranged from indifferent to downright crossing the line cruel? Why?

I think it's highly disturbing to know there's people that apologetic towards people like Adam.

The death of Steve Burnside. Bet you're real sowry now, you fuck.

The death of Ashley Williams in Mass Effect. Die, you stupid bitch. My only regret is that I couldn't kill you myself.

They're both annoying, and I like seeing annoying characters die horrible deaths.
