It's an exampleless supertrope. As for your second question... IDK. I think it doesn't have examples because it's so common and basic that even with the subtropes a list of examples would basically amount to everything ever.

It's to put it in the Trope Repair Shop and it's strongly recommended to do a wick check first.

The sidebar lists it as a trope but there are no examples, just a list of indexed tropes. I'm confused.
Also, on that topic, if I'm getting it right, Rule of Symbolism is when stuff that might break the Willing Suspension of Disbelief is used for the sake of Symbolism. Where do go examples that don't threaten the WSOD but don't fit any of the sub-tropes either?
