Needs Help: Feelies

Go To

To-do list:

  • Feelies is now Trivia. Off-page examples are only allowed on Trivia/ subpages, but inline wicks are allowed in the text of non-Trivia examples. This can be tracked with the Feelies Wick Cleaning sandbox.

Note: This thread was proposed by The Mayor of Simpleton.

The problem: Feelies is a wiki item about the titular feelies, which were, per the description, "real, tangible props, ripped straight from the game world" that were packaged with physical editions for games. The description also notes that they were often used for Copy Protection, and that in modern times, "collector's editions" of games have revived them by including them as bonuses.

All of this seems to indicate that this is not actually a trope, but a Trivia item. Despite this, it is classified in Main as a trope. Per Tropes Needing TRS:

* Feelies: About merch that comes packaged with games, which is external.

Proposed solution: I recommend moving Feelies from Main to Trivia.

What does everyone else think? Any other ideas or suggestions?

I think I'm going to see if I can work on this. I also fixed a mistake I made in the header of the wick-cleaning sandbox; I copied and pasted the header of a different wick cleaning sandbox (forgot which) and accidentally kept some text I didn't mean to keep when adjusting the text to match the situation with Feelies.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.

Aaaaaaand all the namespaces have been cleaned. The only wicks left in work pages are inline wicks.

We can close up now.
