"Shade" didn't follow Triangle. Jumping into a portal while waiting for someone would be kinda rude, it thought.

There is no response from the mysterious presence watching Triangle, but whatever it is, it seems dangerous.

It's okay if I suddenly run away, right?

Triangle begins slowly backing away.

Something swiftly flies upwards behind Triangle, though too fast to be seen. But the shadow cast on the ground is huge. There is another presence, though this one seems much more friendlier than… whatever that first presence belongs to.

The cheerful voice came from behind Triangle.

Triangle turns to see who said that.

Standing there was a woman wearing a white hooded robe, a white plague doctor mask, white mittens, and white high-heeled ankle boots. What little of her hair was visible was platinum blonde in colour.

Woman: "   Hi! What's your name? I'm Carys!   "

I won't sleep now. "maybe GN" means that there's a chance you might sleep. It's used to explain why a person would suddenly disappear. I'm trying to not sleep right now though, so don't worry.

Carys looks at Vortech.

Carys: "   Sorry, but you would have to talk to Her Highness, Lady ó Glacáin. She's the leader, not me.   "

She turns back to face Triangle.

Carys: "   Top Overseer, huh? You're not from this universe, let alone multiverse, huh? So… there's a lot of places in this galaxy alone containing 'Shin' in the name, and some have princesses, so narrowing that down is gonna be tougher than getting those six to stop walking around in so little attire. So what can you tell me about this mission? Every little detail helps, even if insignificant like those pathetic Risen Null Specter jerks.   "

Yeah, I'm not. I'm not even sure where the hell I actually came from. The full objective is "steal a big black bird from the princess of Shiniaire on planet Newerth." I dunno why someone like the Top Oversser wants me to do that to live, but hey I'll do anything so I can see another day. Anyways, who are the Risen Null Specters?

What they said, and where can I find this queen?

Carys nods.

Carys: "   Well, you've got the right galaxy. Newerth is located in this galaxy, Serenth. Right now, though, you're on Talamh Geallta, one of the three moons orbiting the planet, Eileshaol. I've heard of the Shinairan princess. A Valkyrie. The natural enemy of the Erinysi… and I'm an Erinys.   "

Carys lowers her robe's hood, revealing her platinum blonde hair. She removes her plague doctor mask, revealing fair skin and silver eyes. She seems upset, but is smiling.

Carys: "   Fuck them. This galaxy is named after a bloody Valkyrie just because she saved one planet from having its inhabitants killed in 2015. Ugh. So… hey, are you immune to tear gas? And do you know what Fallen Void Shades are?   "

Carys turns again to face Vortech.

Carys: "   The queen resides in Féasta Neamhní, on Eileshaol. Can't miss it, it's the largest palace on the planet.   "

I got immunity from it a long time ago because of how many times it was used on me. Also, what's a Fallen Void Shade like? I may or may not know one or two.

A small portal appears next to Carys and she reaches in. She pulls out a white gas mask and puts it on, before putting the plague doctor mask on over it, then pulls the hood of her robe over her head again.

Carys: "   Excellent! But first things first, your questions.   "

Carys sits on the ground, cross-legged.

Carys: "   Fallen Void Shades… they're sort of a negative counterpart of a person in Xyrinfe, and come about when a person's exposed to the Void and hit with a Void-elemental attack. The Void operates on different elements than Serenth, at least, because Serenth doesn't have a Void element… but anyway, the person shares their body with their Fallen Void Shades. Or 'Shades', for short. Try to separate the two, both die. As for the Risen Null Specters, those fucking pathetic losers are the 'positive' counterpart. Those come about when a person's exposed to the Null Dimension's atmosphere somehow, and killed with a Null-elemental attack and then revived. Serenth does have a Null-element, though I don't know if it's that element or the Zero-element which is just fancy shorthand for 'lacking an elemental affinity'.   "

Carys giggles softly.

Carys: "   Valkyries can't take any form of poison. Completely neutralizes their Taints, usually. Mostly the negative stuff stays, though. And tear gas can poison a Valkyrie. Since the Shinairan princess is a Valkyrie but the rest of her family aren't - she was adopted, probably - I have a perfect plan.   "

Carys gets up and opens another portal, this time much larger.

Carys: "   Go through here and you'll arrive at the place where that Valkyrie resides. I'll be there a short while later, just gotta get some supplies. Sound good?   "

So Void's new avatar isn't a Fallen Void Shade. The more you know. And yes, that sounds good.

Triangle enters the portal, not explaining what they meant by "Void's new avatar".
