Opened. Suggestion > current, but I don't think we need both panels
(Annoyed grunt)
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.
I think the suggestion is a bit too wordy.
I actually like 6.1 because it more easily conveys that they're Breaking the Fourth Wall (the goblin is looking towards the viewer and actually mentions "readers"). The computer ones just feel like them answering regular e-mails.

Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!
(Annoyed grunt)
I dunno. I still like the first panel of the OP better, just because the character is actually answering the question.

Me too. I'm also not a huge fan of OOTS' artstyle.
I'd like to apologize for all this.If we go with SA, then I prefer 6.2, because it's practically the same as the others but with less text.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.I like the first one because it's a character answering a question about themselves in a serious way. The other panel is a character giving a joke answer to a question that isn't about them. It's fine, but I think it's vaguely less illustrative.
It's also really not that texty. The important context comes from the email format and computer screen anyway.
Again, the problem is that those Sequential Art images do not really illustrate the "fourth wall break" well. Those messages could very well be from other in-universe characters.
At least with OotS example, I can tell they're specifically talking about comic readers.

I think reasonable assumptions can be made by the viewer based on the format and the type of question. It seems like a weird question for someone to ask over email in-universe.
Sure, but when it comes to actually displaying the fourth wall break with a character actually looking at the audience (the source of the "fourth wall" term) and acknowledgement of readers, 6.1 is superior, imo.

Sounds like we need a crowner. Here's a crop of the OP in the meantime.
Crowner's hooked.
Votes bump, three in the green.
Votes bump, two in the green, one in consensus range.
Nah, I think it's good as is.
Same.
(Annoyed grunt)I agree with that. Locking up.
Crown Description:
Here is a portion of a Q&A from Sequential Art, which actually illustrates the characters responding to readers' questions.
