The current page image is one where the image uploader has completely smeared out any detail in the source file, resulting in a really blurry and indistinct image — although I'm not sure it would have made a good example even without that, as it wouldn't give a whole lot of context as to what was meant to be going on.

As for possible replacements, the show's depiction of Acute Radiation Syndrome seems like the obvious candidate, although I'm not sure whether they would fall into the NSFW category:

1.1 is great; I still remember it years after watching.

Those are both great. 1.1 has the consensus, so it's in and tagged. Caption?

I think it should be something that makes clear that the image is depicting a victim of severe radiation exposure, instead of someone just suffering from regular burns.

There's one bit of dialogue that goes into all the gory details of what the victims experienced, albeit it's a little lengthy:

"Ionizing radiation tears the cellular structure apart. [...] The bone marrow dies, the immune system fails, and the soft tissue and organs begin to decompose. The arteries and veins spill open like sieves, to the point where you can't even administer morphine for the pain, which is unimaginable. And within three days to three weeks, you are dead."

No consensus on a caption, locking up — but [up] is much too long as is.
