All PMs I had with a specific person have been suddenly deleted

Hello, I'm making a thread to determine how something has happened. This is my first time creating a thread here so I do apologise if I get anything wrong, but I'm pretty sure I'm doing everything correctly.

So earlier I was looking through my P Ms that for context I almost never delete since I like having records of all of my conversations whether it be for sentimental purposes or if it's something important. As I was looking, I noticed something very odd that still don't understand.

All of my messages with my friend Ravok have been deleted. And only them, every message I sent to him and every message he sent to me was gone while every other message is still there. I checked and I hadn't accidentally blocked him or anything, and I messaged him and he hadn't accidentally blocked me. I asked if deleting messages on your end deletes them on the other persons end but that doesn't seem to be the case especially considering he's deleted messages before then that I've been able to view months after. This wasn't gradual, it happened all at once and there were considerable gaps of time in between the conversations that spanned from April to November mind you.

I'm not necessarily looking for them to be restored as I doubt that's even possible at this point, but I'd greatly appreciate an explanation of how this might've happened. Thanks very much in advance.

I've noticed missing messages from various other tropers, actually, and I know I'm not blocked because certain messages of theirs remain.

A PM is only supposed to be permanently deleted if both parties flag it for deletion. I'll bring this issue up.

Thank you Fighteer. I don't know who handles this side of things but IF there's a way for the messages to somehow be restored, I'd be very appreciative but if not I'll live. It's just such a bizarre bug, I've never seen anything like it.
